hi everybody I want to show you how I make a rug with a shag rug with my homemade loom I take a piece of fabric this is burlap I prefer a painters cloth you cut it in sections a zigzag around it and when I get it all covered with my yarn also this section to another section and I make it as big as I want but if you make it real big you can't can't hold it in place to sew it and get it get it right so I make small sections and I take my clothesline hanger and I form it into a loop then I take my yarn I take different colors if you have a lot of yarn that's you've got pit away and you can't do a lot with it just make your rug I start wrapping it on my loom I don't wrap it tight I'll just keep wrapping now you make little sections of one color a lot of section of another just mix it up any way you want to use whatever amount you have just switch colors okay now I'm going to start on this side pull your shag back I lay this in tight against your last shag that you did so right down the middle Dred Scott now you can sell it two or three times to make it last longer also when you get it done you can buy a rubberized sealer or stuff to go on the back of it so that it won't slip and slide on the floor now you pull it up and you cut it right along the top of that wire need some short pointed scissors would be a lot better now there's the next row trim it now if you should miss a place it's not tight enough just do it again and pull this spread this open and go right in there you only take an inch and a half to fill that in the next row up hit on will go on this side now as you work and you go all the way down on each one of these you go all the way down and as you get that one all the way down you go on this side and then all the way down and then on this side all the way down because if you do it start here and come across it's so heavy that your machine you're fighting it to get these in so start in the middle and work out as you go and I think that's I can't think of anything else to tell you but anyway after you get all this pit on here on this one piece you can also make throw pillows out of these it makes a beautiful shape rug I have two of them already - two big ones I made them different but anyway I'll show you how to make those one day that make your loom out of a clothes hanger just take it cut the hook and everything off bend it down across and up fasten it at the top like a safety pin and get you a clip so that when you put the last of this on it doesn't slide off while you're working just clip it and then while you're working up here you can this will stay on your loom so I think this is all you can use real heavy upholstery fabric you're not going to see it on the back through here so you can use about anything you want as long as it's heavy enough to stay on the floor and like to say you can get the rubber stuff to paint on the back so that it won't move off the floor scoot around so and make them for your bedroom living room any room in the house so I thank you for watching and I hope you enjoyed this thank you
