our friends say we're gonna be replacing the t bulb on one of these portable little floodlights here these t bulbs burn out actually quite frequently but you know they're actually fairly easy to replace I'm going to show you do that really quick the only tools you really are gonna need here are a screw driver as well as some new t bulbs and you can find these on Amazon I'll actually put a link in the description box below I got three of them for about ten dollars and as you can see it's the J 78 t3 model and it's good for the one hundred and ten hundred 20 volt 130 volt and then the 250 watt which is what this specific flood takes now you can usually look on the inside of these little floods and you can see the type of bulb that it takes you basically up in here it says type T 250 watt forgive how dirty these spots are they have been been used quite frequently bulbs dead so let's go ahead and get into this and I'll show you how it works okay so the first thing we need to do is actually undo the screw that's up here at the very top of the light fixture be careful not to lose this little bolt here you can see that guy right there set that down the ground and you can kind of gently tug open the front of this lighting fixture now be careful there will be usually a little seal that's around the enclosure here make sure that doesn't pop out and lose it basically from here what you can do is just kind of come in with your fingers and you'll have to cut it it's on a spring system so you have to push on one side to loosen it up and as you can see that comes out really really easily in fact if you look closely you can see how inside the bowl that's just been fried which is obviously why this thing is no longer working so that's the old bulb I'm gonna go ahead and throw that away and we'll get the new bulb out okay here's our new bulb comes in a little bubble wrap and basically what we're going to do is put this guy right back in place where the other one came out now be a little cautious don't get your fingerprints on the actual main filament area here your fingerprints they leave oils and when this thing heats up it gets really hot and those oils can actually make this this burst so again do your best not to touch that okay what I'm gonna do is come in here and just push on that spring on one side gives us enough room on this other side here well that will just slip in there you go that's that's nice and in place now we're gonna go ahead and just reverse the process close this front closure up get out our little nut again and bolt to put that back into place with our screwdriver and once that's back into place we can plug this thing in and make sure it's working okay all right now that we have it plugged in I'm gonna go ahead and turn the switch on that's in the back here and we'll see if we get some light there you go looks like we are shinin good to go up and ready I'm gonna go ahead and fix this other guy you can see the bulb in here is actually shattered which is really bad so I'm going to replace that one so I have two working floodlights again hopefully that helps friends hit that subscribe button we got a lot more tips tricks tutorial videos coming up soon thanks for watching
