Please explain how to tame frizzy, unmanagable hair! | how to straighten ethnic hair

today what I'm gonna be doing is showing you guys how to get really sleek soft and shiny straight hair it's really kind of a struggle to take my natural hair so I do straighten it when I have my hair straight I definitely want it to look shiny and healthy and not brittle and broken so I definitely have to go through quite the process and if you're not mixed and if you don't have any hair problems if you just get in the shower and get out and comb your hair and it's straight and this is gonna seem quite pointless i would say but if you're like me and you have mixed harriers really wavy and frizzy and unmanageable um this is a great routine to show you how to get flat soft shiny hair that moves like my hair has a lot of movement movement just means that it doesn't stay in the same place it's just really flowy and nice and not weighed down or anything if you want to know how to I got this whole shebang going on on the top of my head definitely watch this video and I'm going to give you a lot of helpful tips and show you a lot of products that are going to help you tame the beast and yeah I have a lot of hair problems like I relax my hair a couple years ago and it was the biggest mistake of my whole entire life because my hair was broken and brittle and it kept falling off my hair used to be like to hear do wear extensions so my natural hair is I'm gonna show you how long it is and I'm actually getting Mike sentence be done my natural hair is about this long I guess so um it has grown quite a bit in the last year because it was like just under my ears it was just like a little afro puff and I knew after that but I was gonna have to learn how to really take care of my hair usually trim my hair on my own but when i'm getting layers cut into my hair which i do have layers so the top layer of my hair which is all my real hair this is most of my real hair because i only have two tracks in which means two small lines and then in between i have like all my hair hanging out kind of like that yeah so basically i just had to learn how to deal with my natural hair tame it down and if you guys want to see how I do it I'm stay tuned so basically here's me when I roll out of bed looking like a complete nightmare and that poof on the top of my head is what we are trying to tame so before we get started and before we do any washing or anything just brush your hair out so after you wet your hair you're gonna want to apply shampoo and I use the joy kodály conditioning shampoo and this is just for normal hair but it really helps get the frizz out of there and then I'm going to condition my hair with this rock your hair big hair rocks conditioner and this is by Michael O'Rourke and you can get this at Urban Outfitters and this is really thin but also really moisturizing to the hair so I love it to condition my hair I use this organics keratin complex mix with this L'Oreal deep conditioner and these were really great on my hair to restore it and get rid of those nasty split ends so I definitely recommend this and I lather this on my head for like 40 minutes guys Here I am fresh out of the shower my hair is washed and cleaned and I have that deep conditioner lathered from root to tip basically what I do is I flip my hair up into a bun and I just do this to keep all of the water from dripping down into my eyes or onto my neck or wherever and then I just cap it off with this adorable shower cap which i got from winners and home scents I just think it's so cute and pretty freakin useful then I just read a magazine for 40 minutes while I wait for the deep conditioner to soak up into my hair you know me if you've got frizz than girl let me tell you oil is gonna be your best friend so I'm using this Garnier sleek and shine and this is really great for controlling fritz so after 40 minutes of leaving my hair in that deep conditioner and after I ripped it I apply a serum and I apply that from my ears down because you don't want any grease in the roots of your hair and this is just going to make sure that the ends of your hair are moisturized and then I'm just going to brush through it with this large paddle brush and make sure all the tangles are out so it's really easy to take care of and la the next thing I'm going to do is part my hair straight down the middle and this is so I can braid it up which is really going to help protect the ends and everything at night and it's not going to be super crazy in the morning so I just braid it on both sides all the way down as far as I can go to the bottom and make sure to do it on both sides duh after you can just tuck in any pieces of hair you need to and you're ready to go to bed so here's me the next morning looking like a train wreck and I'm unrated my hair from the braids I put in last night and its pretty much dry it's still a little damp but what can you do then I'm just gonna comb through with my fingers and do both sides obviously and basically this is how it should look afterwards kind of crazy and unruly but not that frizzy the most important step to treating your hair with heat is making sure that you have a great thermal protector and I'm loving this one-bite resume it really does a great job of protecting my hair and I'm noticing that I'm having a lot less split ends which obviously is a bonus but I just spritz us all over my hair and I focusing mostly on my ends my hairline all like that because the ends of your hair are the least healthy and the most brutal so you definitely want to make sure that you're protecting those covergirl after applying your heat protector you're just gonna want to comb that through your hair evenly it then part your hair like so and then with this premier blow dryer you can use any blow-dry of your choice you're just going to blow dry through your damp hair because my hair still a little damp and I make sure that I used a cool setting and I put it on high and they just use this huge brush and just brush through my hair making sure that I get it one-hundred percent dry before using heat on it because if you do it will it stamp it's really gonna damage your hair guys so basically what we're going to do is with the paddle brush straighten really small section then you just brush over it and this is gonna make it super flat and here's my hair halfway done it's very silky and smooth and it moves really great you just want to make sure you're not using too high of a temperature and I make sure they stay on about 350 degrees all the way through just so I don't burn my hair next we're going to take a dollop of my Moroccan sleek oil which is my favorite oil by Garnier and I'm gonna apply it to the bottoms of my hair for my ears down just like four and this is really gonna leave your hair shiny and smooth next on my cheese straightener and this big brush I'm just gonna flatten out any kinks in my hair and also smooth out any flyaways this brush is awesome because it has two bristles and it really smooths out the hair the last thing I'm going to do is finish it off with this got to be dry condition or just for extra shine so there we have it and done my hair it is very very straight um I have a lot of hair so my hair looks like it's poufy it's not really it's pretty flat but I've really thick hair so yeah that's how it turned out and it's really easy just follow these steps and you can avoid having frizz in your head has a lot of movement you can see and at the top of my head there's not a lot of frizz which is a bonus and that's due to some of the oils that i use and just deep conditioning it and it doesn't have a lot of damage my natural hair because i do trim my hair quite often and i also make sure that i'm not using an excessive amount of heat i do straighten my hair which is definitely not good for it i just want to use this brush I honestly think this brush is hilarious like look at how big it is it's like as big as my head it's huge but this is another great product or great utensil I'm for doing your hair because this brush because it's double bristles it has smoothing bristles and ones that are going to get the tangles out of your hair so it really makes your hair nice and sleek and soft without pulling your hair and it's just really nice i like to use this one I'm blow drying just to kind of smooth my hair out thank you so much for watching hope this was helpful for you guys and I hope now you have more insight on some of the products that I use and I definitely recommend going out and trying them for yourself and if you guys want another video on how I curl my hair so how I get my hair from this how you usually see it I'm definitely going to be putting that up this week sometime and yeah basically that's everything I have to say about it thank you so much for watching my video and I hope you guys we grow is the world we run more girls
