hey everyone so today I'm going to be showing you all how to set up a hermit crab tank and yeah so let's just get right into this video so the first thing that you need to do is put sand and well yeah sea and substrate eco earth all together in the tank and yeah so let's just go ahead and do that so here is my sand I am also I just need to add the eco earth and your hermit crab tank should be 5 gallons for each hermit crab and yeah so if you have two hermit crabs you know it should be 10 gallons if you have three hermit crabs 15 gallons or above course and yeah so I for hermit crabs and this is a 10 20 sorry 20 gallon long tank and yeah so let's just go ahead and get the eco Earth in it so now I have here's the eco earth and I'm just waiting for it to expand in the water I'm probably going to leave it for maybe about 15 minutes and then come back and check on it and then by then it will probably be expanded and have soaking up the water so yeah so now it is all done and so now that is completely expanded I'm just gonna go ahead and dump it into the crop team so I just put the substrate and it is not very much at all so I think I'm going to go back to the store and a couple of days and get more of this and I kind of don't want to put it throughout the whole tank but I may end up doing that anyways but for now I think it looks pretty good it just really is not enough as much as I wanted so yeah I will get some more of that but yeah let's just go ahead and continue setting up the table so now you just need a heat source and I just use this heat lamp and yes it is all the big things heat way up and then after you have that then you just need a fresh water oh sorry fresh water and salt water dish and I don't have any of the salts in the dish yet so oh you need it's just a little pinch of salt and just put it inside of the dish and then just okay anyway so then after you have the salt in there you will just stir it up with a spoon let it dissolve and jump so that is how you get your fresh and saltwater and of course you will need a food dish you will need a couple of spots for your hermit crabs to hide in so I just have this little spot under the water dish and then I have this little coconut hut I have a little castle only one of my hermit crabs can actually fit on this fit inside of it because she is really small um but they can also the bigger ones plus her can just climb on it they like to do that as well and then I have this little bread they can hide under or just climb on and yeah and then I also have this little ledge I'm going to put right here which they can also hide under and climb on top of and lastly what you need is some shelves for hermit crabs to change into as they grow and some just cycle decorations I use these kind of shells as nice natural decorations and then I have this little turtle in there that they like to climb on and it just makes a cute little decor and then I also use this little shell here and then here's another one of those types shells like this and I also will probably be picking up some more decoration soon as well to add so be looking out for a haul video coming soon and yeah so let's just go ahead and add all these into the tape and now everything you need is all in the tank and so now I think it is time to add the hermit crabs and now the tank is complete
