hello youtubers is wallington filming painting and decorating trade secrets and today i'm just doing a little quick video on um goodness skirting boards okay so one of the first things you're going to need is some june looks decorated cork okay and then i've got uh your corking gun just take a good look at that caulking gun that's the type of caulking gun that you want don't get the ones where it's got like some metal going around like that they're not much cot okay and then obviously so they're the best caulking guns you want now then if you're doing um if you're doing a new property or you're doing a lot of caulking up in any particular time the best way to prepare you tubes is probably get four or five of these tubes or whatever you need just cut all the ends off like that watch fingers because uh you won't be able to do much painting if you cut the end of your finger off okay so put all if you've got half a dozen tubes cut all the ends off put all the caps on and cut all the caps so you'll need to go like that sort of angle not too close like that okay so it locks out if you're doing quite a lot of caulking up get off it doesn't need that more cutting already to uh do your caulking up with the property okay then then you've got a little room here so first thing you'll need to do whether it's a new property or an old property if you've had new skating boards fitted on just give a quick dust off near the top okay and like when you come to caulking up make sure you get the sloping edge on the skirt and just go gently over and then just use your finger and push it into the gap like so so basically and then just use your finger and push it into the gap even letting smoothly all the way across okay sometimes you might need to go up the corner of the skirt where the my top sometimes the march is not very good okay uh because this is a new property the time i've finished doing that i end up with a lump on my finger so i can just because i've got to clean the floor i could just leave that on the floor but if you're in a private property you might want to carry a wet wrap around wheel okay get easy run the caulking gun as far as you can with one squeeze get your finger push it into the gap but don't put too much pressure on this you'll have it spreading all over the wall like i say as you can probably see this is a bad miter so you'll just need to push that up there push it in okay right so that's basically how you put on skirting boards or options or whatever in a new property same applies if you're in an old property um just prepare all your tubes ready if you've got a lot of uh gunning up to do and uh that's basically it really says wanted filming painted decorating trade secrets uh don't forget to subscribe thanks to all my subscribers thumbs up comments most welcome until next time catch you later
