hey guys um so this is not at all my stereotypical kind of live video or videos I usually all my nerd I try to keep them all automotive base that I have lots of interest but this is something I've been searching for a long time now I have a little kid smells too 7l and they decided to make a mural and so they have bunk beds you see behind me it's using the wall that's in front of me so I'm gonna turn the camera and show you forget the house is a total mess but I'm going to show you the mural and why I haven't been able to clean it so I'm gonna show you and I know this is live and some people are in my comments but I'm not gonna maybe be able to answer them we'll see so here's the mural it is quite large and you may be able to tell that like over here the wall is really really rough um and you can tell up here well I'm not sure how well you'll be able tell anyway I tried cleaning this with magic erase marker or magic eraser and it didn't come off at all I didn't do anything except get the wall kind of wet and so I wanted to show and this has been driving me up this been up for drive me crazy it's been up for months they add it on to it down here and yeah so this is as beautiful as it as it needs to come off I'm gonna rearrange this wall it's gonna be exposed and so I'm just gonna show you what I have finally found to get this off without ruining the wall now this wall pretty much needs to be sanded down anyway so it's not such a big deal but because there is so much on here I thought I'd show you this I love the drawings um anyway so let's let me show you how to get this off hey Mark um alright let's I haven't really planned this out alright so I'm gonna just kind of see if I can get this over here where you can see using my phone oh here we go let me grab some totes right here and pull them over so hang on if you want to see how to do this yeah well kids this is must know and I know this kind of backlighting those rooms kind of dark and this is the only way to get a good light so well one of my top mini totes of clothes over here and we'll move you a little closer so you can see and I can see what it does I need to take off so you're gonna need two things well three things you're going to need goof-off I know this is backwards but so goof-off works first-time household heavy TV do do your remover this and you're going to need a hairdryer and then also you'll need a paper towel or some sort of rag I prefer paper towels one for each thing so one for the dryer one for the goof-off um no nobody's kids Deirdre walls this is the worst it's been of all my kids so this is what we're gonna do so if your your dad and you don't know a whole lot about hair dryers then so there's multiple settings on here and you want on hot but you only want it to be on low right my face so it's gonna kind of get loud so I'm just gonna do a little section and I'll turn off and talk so when the hairdryer is going you're not gonna hear me but um let me okay so well this parts really dark right here but we'll just go right here for the face of this little drawing or oh actually this one this is a drawing age myself arason so that's supposed to be him my daughter Jo this is her so well we'll get rid of this H since it's right here and I know you guys can see it well so here we go so we have it on hot but on low speed because you don't need it really high is what we're gonna do is we're gonna melt the crayon and then we're wipe it but there's still be residue left over so watch this [Applause] so you can see that alone that didn't take it all off but while it's still kind of warm spray it with a goof-off and wipe it and that kind of gets the rest off because you can't painting over wax doesn't really work really well but this will look at that you can you see ya round of applause please thank you this has taken lots of research I mean asking everyone I know how they get theirs off so I did chair that's my children's artwork but not ones on the wall I'm kind of a mean mom yeah whatever I asked on Facebook the best way and this is someone said just this so that doesn't get it off and this data warehouse someone said just sand it down like I said this wall is super bumpy it's it was really poorly done someone just went crazy with the orange peel coating but didn't I don't know what they thought they were doing they did a terrible job it's really bumpy and then the paint we put on was really cheap flat paint and so so it's really hard to get it's like it's not make some smooth now the walls upstairs I went in the living room where they drew big square and I took part of it off with magic eraser it takes the shine off too so now I'm gonna have to paint over that but I did this for the other half of the square and it turned out well so we just um they move you guys oh sorry well I'm not I can wait right clean would take the paint off those are the things we want that we want to save the paint save the wall so I'm gonna this little backwards Jade it looks right to you guys but Jos for Josephine we're gonna like this is the one for the initial no this one this for I can keeping them separate I guess it doesn't really matter I know that one's wet so this is for the the hairdryer forgot what we're doing here all right so I'm a woman of many talents so actually what I would like to do is have all-star come and just remodel my entire house but still I can afford it here we go so I'm gonna take off this section here so you'll be able to see well you'll be able to see if you know there's no comments on Washington but wow that was hot furnace drop it warm wipe it down with the goof off I don't like the smell of goof off as much as I like goo gone smells like oranges but this works there and it's on a spray bottle I've used everything so like right in here there's some spots or you can't you won't be able to see but there's some little spots where it's retained the color but it's enough where I'm still gonna be able to paint over this we're going to sand it down paint over without like a high gloss well not high gloss but something glossy er than this for this room Plus this room's really dark so it's not hard to see um but um there's just do one more spot here I'm gonna drop the move stuff around so sorry don't get sick no so don't get all right so great where is it well you guys in here this is kind of a fun way to be doing it alright okay so this is really dark there's some brown I hope that's brown crayon yeah I think so Brown crayon here that most of it's in purple so again we're just do these really dark spots here and see how are the fares and the most you can get up while it's hot and melty the better so all right and now quickly and they have to be hot I just think it helps soften now I know that I can see this a lot better than you can but this is actually working really well and I think I'm gonna get a lot of use on this video cuz this happens a lot and this works with little spots but I tried it in a little spot first and it worked great so I always test it in a little area and the rest of this is just dirty cuz it was right up against my daughter she likes to hug the wall when she sleeps anyway so that's how I got a crayon off the wall without damaging the paint yay cuz I mean I want I'm gonna paint it I just don't have time to do it stay thank you to the sitter who said hey I'll come pick your kids so you can clean your house great wonderful person thank you thank you like I said you can see my houses you can't see that it's a rat cuz the bed's hiding a bunch of stuff but anyway that's how we get it off so feel free to share this video with any other parents that you know that whose kids like to draw on the walls because oh my goodness it's annoying but it's it only takes a couple minutes so and you're gonna have all this cleaned up in just like a half an hour probably which is really exciting for me so thanks guys for watching thanks
