okay so here's an interesting one that we have for you we're going to do a deep so this is both paint and vinyls as you can see here the name is insatiable if i zoom in for you you can actually see the brushstrokes there is shipping the fading coming off so we're going to be install some pain in the name but then they are hailing port if I come down here north port is in vinyl so you're going to have to get to see two things today which is great you're going to see the installation of paint and the installation of vinyl things that you're going to wait for the paint you're going to be easy off oven cleaner the heavy very kind the heavy duty time you're going to need it's very caustic so which means it's very toxic you're going to want heavy duty rubber gloves we all sort them in the key wear a mask and also you can get yourself a little scrubby pad scouring pad in the vinegar you're going to need this compound now what you do is get everything out of the way we want to list your canvases out of the way and here's how this is going to go a little shadow if it's okay you're just going to take the easy off and you're going to spray it on quite liberally but as you can see I'm going to zoom in a little bit she's just really spraying it on quite liberally on top of the lettering itself and all she's going to do is allow that to sit it's going to start bubbling pop got canvas at ten minutes and then at that point simply just going to hose it off so we're going to have to wait for my on the last time here now we'll move down to the final hold on we got a graph now I'm going to tell you what we need for the line simply a heat gun or hair dryer we have heat gun it's really not that scary you're not going to do any damage or color or anything really just not going to hold it on there that long as your hands are going to be in the way you're not going to raise your hand can use a hair dryer either one if you don't have a hair got a hair dryer will work just fine obviously you're working or if you're working around water be careful not to let your cord onto the water obviously don't want to electrocute yourself he's simply going to as you see he's just cleaning up the vinyl take this will be you see any squeegee and then you're just going to pick it off really that simple you see sometimes are a little trickier I like to tell people it's like if you've ever tried to take a label off of a box sometimes it comes off on one shot sometimes they're a pain in the neck and you got to pick out and its really time alike that it's interment you never know what you're going to get this happens to be a simple one we're heating it it's coming off the one team sometimes and you just got to pick at them so you're getting the instructional video defeating your casting the end with the queasy and then your feeling at all again not to hold the hair dryer or to keep done in one area too long you're simply just heating up the letters this is a simple one if you happen to get one of those ones we get sticking at it piece by piece they don't really have any tricks for those we don't see the same same idea we have a crystal we do what's up Rick for that check is with the squeak now with the squeegee whenever you just continue scraping that you won't be able to pick off but you heat and you just really a scrape scrape with these soft yellow pages we've also have a 3m striping separate looks like a giant rubber eraser that you put on the end of a cordless drill or handle and it rubs it right off that's when the letters are really really bad shape and they're just crap and then possible to lessen you would just continue using the scraper you might not be able to peel it off the way I was doing all the others correct just keep an easel and you never want to keep it in one spot bring it in glue the leftover glue that's on here you're just going to go back with you know Turtle Wax okay I'm sorry makes a great product you'll see how nice this works in second [Applause] layer go back to the better lighting all these finished ISM to Tibbett come back up for a second back daily bottling up all nicely come back down here see how they did see some residue left behind you just spray that turtle West adhesive remover on there I think a sweet and you see on the squeegee heavy pieces has come on now we're going to take everything off the boat because we love fish with the hose now move all your stuff make sure you've got your electrical stuff off of the boat if you were doing the two part be install you don't want to have any electrical equipment remaining behind because we're going to use water to get that easy off of and clean our off that we used on the painted portion of the lettering the water I mentioned before which may remain behind and that's all we have to do this maybe in two or three steps okay so now we're back to the paint we left that gives off oven cleaner on for a half an hour because we had to go to another lettering into the oil so we're going to turn the water back on and see how it is captivated is that happier you have to wait some of them you have to wait you know she's renting right off Nancy's a little scouring pad again thank you the pressure of the water is basically taking that off which is some of the remnants you may have to do coward a little bit and then we'll get the compound out exactly look what happens the look beautiful coming right off so it's all about timing patience and some of these things my goal here just a little bit of compound scrubbing like our repairs we just use this compound I'm sure you can use any this is what we choose and they just great a little I mean squared on there showering away also we will go down to where we took off that vinyls at the bottom and we'll use a little bit of these compound down there as well now the lifting the strong catch because when it was painted the painters lifted and painted inside the Tomcats so if you have that situation as well you may have to go back and spray some easy-off inside the trunk cast or inside on the side of the door Christian is okay so now that we've got and hold it off we're going to hose it down get all the compound off get all of the easy-off cleaner off of the boat get a nice clean area for our installation then we're going to use the white vinegar in case you have any fading the white vinegar just like a simple chemistry process it will immediately list any yellowing that was on the hall from from the UV or the reacts with the chemical process and it just brings it right back to the natural color of the filter they have here Laurie now you'll clean it down with some acetone again to make sure that it's nice to clean there's nothing left behind because you really do want a very clean area when you're applying this letter lettering you put anything left even the littlest and if you want these so intimidate and you would just going on an area that was had nothing there you still want to clean the hole with some acetone you want to remove any wax or anything that was on so you always want to start with a clean rag and glance around the character watch damn is wack so we will not hold the lettering right on folks I don't want to get this paper yes when I wanna carry a wax back wet then it will stick to the lettering like you're going to start with your green pencil you going to make you mark now we're working with a windy day this is where very important don't yield back to that paper they're going to play rap attack right on the sticky parts of the literature and that around good to see what happens that lettering just flipped up like that but before they as a rap attack on their it did not stick to itself that was the very key element in the installation process had they not had that rap attack spray on there that lettering would have been ruined it would expect to itself would have been ruined so you want to get that round a spray on there immediately it temporarily stops it from sticking here is another great thing that you guys are going to get to see you see how point if you can just step back one check for each other you see how the lettering you measure now make sure you have it straight where you want it to be lined up your Center is now your measurement from the top down as they're doing now get yourself honestly that device according to each other so we thought that when you see how they're going over those little handles to the door they're measuring it out and making sure they have it all straight that wrap attack allows them to lift it up and move it as many times as they need to they got greatest nice and literally on it they have it where they want it you put a hand on there when you sleep even so it doesn't slide and move around squeezing it out pushing all the racket back out of there getting rid of all the air bubbles that's what they're doing and you're going to see the next stretch that we're going to teach you in this tutorial when your lettering extends over the trunk back you see how it's going that you until you guys it's going over there your splint kick point attack to get some nice sharp flavor exactly and you see how she's slicing right damn she's hunting through those letters and you're thinking I can't be done yet because and then you just use this Ouija to push those letters have places people doing it on the other side make your in the leg time to the magic it work rising right through the bladder you're letting that dry again let us say ending on the temperature of where you are some of you are in warmer climate it's going to dry a lot faster some of you are in colder climates going to take longer to dry I can't stress that enough you have to let it dry if you go to peel back back taste and the letters lift that's not a problem it just means you need to let it dry longer that's all that push it back down sweet again walk away and let it dry longer and then come back so while that's drying we're moving down they're going to put the hailing port on we're making marks on the Oviatt see the old fade so we're making it right on the old say right now in this instance you can see I don't know if you can see it in this video because Sun is flaring on it we can see it here you can see where the old herring port was again they're peeling back spring that wrap attack right on there so it's a nice whether it's witty or not you sprain that wrap attack on here what we happen to have a windy day now you're going to put the hailing port right over where the other one was it's covering it right up moving it around making sure that they are straight lined up great we got it perfect measuring it out just to check their measurements one once more we get out pushing out all that rap techspray pushing out your air bubbles really really easy guys go back right now you spray a little bit over the top that's going to make it easier for that paper to come off and love see how it's happening here peeling off coming up a little bit not a big deal please do a little bit more and you should just wait for a is wait for the tribe over here on this side when it's dry this will be stuck better I'm just except speeding up the process for the sake of the camera right it should be completely dry and stuff down there you don't want to really have to manipulate it as I am doing but I'm just doing it for the same time see now now we take that nice sharp blade along with the help of our squeegee and shrimp plant right around the latch my glass and the blade is work for you you just push the blade right around the lash so I believe it's your friend little bit and then you just use your squeegee and work it right in there push it in use the blade cut right around I'm sorry I want to zoom into this again okay because this is sticking but this is not does that mean that that gray is not a sticky of the navy and no dry-ass it just means that the bigger piece dry faster what security back in a matter of drawing time wait for judge I mean there is anything wrong with any piece of that lettering it simply means what things right back within the house
