are they guys so some people have been asking me how I did my fairing install on the original VW biotics rack so there's a DIY that I followed on VW vortex which is very simple to do but this is just their answer it quickly just to understand what I want you to do so initially we used this fading air which is the eight seven one XD which as you can see is the 38 inch one so the 38 inch fitting should give you a foot like that there is a few problems if you do decide to go for the bigger one the big problem being that as you can see there's not actually a lot of space between these arms here and the edge of the bracket so on each side is about fingers width so if you do go for the longer fearing the the furthest mounts this one year and the one on the fourth over there with not fit in yet so that would be something to keep in the back of mind so they what they essentially do is they lose the clamps so in circumstances to do would use these little brackets which would clip over the wing bars or if you have square bars they give you these adapters which fit in there but since these since these are we in the racks are much bigger than what these things are you can see there there's actually no spice released it would be able to fit so the guys do have mod on these so it's essentially very simple so normally you would have these little screws that would keep these lamps connected so they would clamp on and I would screw in from the bottom so all we do is we replace this screw which is a which is an m6 screw and an m6 knot and we cut off these little these little things as you can see they are just some soreness off saunders off weather with a normal hex off so on the illustrations all the things earlier so these that's normally where you would cut it so that's what it would normally look like so we cut it off they replace that bolt and then what we also do is on the on the rack itself we'd roll too little with a lot hole straight through yeah and install a wing nut on the bottom so essentially we've cut that piece off so you can see there and we've got a wing nut running about that Allen cap bolt running straight through with a wing nut on the bottom so if I don't love this you can actually see what we did there we run a drill the hole straight through the Allen cap screw straight through so that the hole at the top year would be slightly bigger so this would probably be about a nine or a 10 mil hole for the for the head of the cap screw to go through and the hole at the bottom would only be a six mode six model six point five more hole for the for the LM cap screw to actually go through but then the head not to pull it all the way so all we simply do is we push this all the way through and then attach this from the bottom using wing nut and you can hold it easily at the top with Ellen cap or whatever with a heaven key and that's essentially what we do so it's a very simple mod to do it does mean that you can never use this fitting for anything else but this call unless you decide not to cut these off which you can actually do so you can leave leave these these little bubbles shed Clips attached to this like such but the only problem would be then that that would stick out like that but that doesn't mean that you can use the fairing later on for something else if you wanted to god I'm never gonna use this fitting for anything else so I just cut them off to make it look a bit neater but essentially that's it so yes it's a it's an all eight 71-63 I think dating some six millimeter cap screws essentially about 25 or 30 miles long with some wing nuts at the bottom and that's something you can do it's easy cool thanks
