today we're going to talk about what type of primer I use how to mix it and finally how to spray it i use a lacquer primer this is about forty to fifty dollars a gallon and then I use lacquer thinner which is 1359 a gallon so it's cheap and it lasts you a really long time first thing you want to do make sure your cup is clean and I already pre shook this up we're going to pour in just a little bit cuz I only have a small spot to do this is mixed at one-two-one one-two-one it should be thinner what I like to get it to is the consistency of like chocolate note but it says 5050 so mix that up there and it should just drip off that's a little thin for me so we're going to add a little more prouder okay that's good that looks like chocolate milk right out of the gallon now we're going to see how it straight I like that because it's got good filling capabilities so now we're going to I'll show you how to apply this primary okay now we're going to apply the primer I use one gun for primer and one gun for paint this is my primer gun it's a Binx 2001 it's not the best for primer but it's great so we sanded this down scuffed all around it and we're just going to hit it with this primer is we're going to put three coats on now that that is a very thick primer but I like it because it fills the scratches and fills the low spots so I'm just going to hit it one more time and that's good enough for the first coat we're going to let that dry put three more coats on just like that second coat one thing you want to make sure they have that door jamb taped off you don't get spray all inside the car coat number two that's nice and thick so that we have something to say now again we're ready for our third coats and things I like about lack or primer is it's very inexpensive works well it builds up quick sprays on easily what else and it sands sands real easily so it's good quality stuff we're ready for our third coat and that's it there's enough on there two blocks and so that it's perfect nice and flat we're going to give it a quick little shot of black so that we can see the low spots when we block it then when we blacks and it will see the black specks in the low spots you got any questions or comments feel free to ask
