hi welcome to peace donkey today I'm going to show you how to make this store um this is just made out of some recycled tires this is our wheels so you can push it around it's two tries hi we've got a pattern still top here me it's very thin you could also use big thick foam if you wanted that to be a real comfy stool and you can use it as storage as well so you can put wall or whatever you want inside there okay depending on how how high your toys are you can use this as a seat market is now or you can just have one toy hide and you can use that as a pull for a footstool depending on what use it for so a coop did my husband to help with some of the parts of this but is much easier with two people doing this so we'll go ahead and show you how we did it [Applause] okay so first off you're gonna measure your tire diameter and then we'll work out this is for the board for the bottom and the top so for the bottom board that's going to go on the bottom of you or your stool you want back to be on the outer measurement and then you're gonna want another board for that in a measurement when you're doing the top of okay so you can either what I was gonna do was put a screw in the Tommy pencil to it you can do that or if you got a big pair of dividers or a compass you can do exactly the same thing so I'm just going to set my dividers and then I'll just describe that arch and see that comes that's kind of its various ways to cut this little bit today I'm going to use a jigsaw just clamp it down tips all secure now if you haven't got a jigsaw you could probably use it like a small coping saw or something it doesn't have to be perfect because ones on the bottom you won't see that and the other one will be covered with vinyl or a material of some sort so now this me nosy make sure you're hearing protection too just use a bit of sandpaper after you cut them I've just written on top and bottom because they are slightly different sizes and this is a top end I'll just sit into that recess thing and that's what's going to be covered now I'm just going to scribe some lines now coming about 10 mil or even 50 mildew 15 [Applause] so today used to help so today I'm just going to use any old box that you've got so I might you these are eight millimeter bolts now I'm going to use mate millimeter bolts off probably a nine to ten millimeter drill bit through just give you a bit of clearance so you're not trying to force something through there you can just drill through enough like the hole you're drilling pretty easy so it's called a boonie okay [Applause] let's take that off and wife enjoys a bit of a drill way out because this rubber sort of just a bit of the rain on this using a ratchet here to screw the bolt down through the rubber you're just having a bit of trouble getting it in so you could either do it why I'm doing it or you could use a bigger drill to go through the rubber now you might need longer bolts just depending on the size of top it's higher you've got this tires got quite a curve I was having a bit of trouble with those 30 millivolts I'm probably want a 40 little box there but [Applause] now I'm just going to spray this edge because you'll be able to see that you could spray it you can paint the underneath as you want it's up to you but no really even say that but they will see the edge so I'm just gonna plug a bit of black spray paint around the edge before I attach the wheels [Applause] now I'm going to attach the wheels and we're going to place them about where my cross marks were so they're about the same distance apart QZ screws are just small self-tapping countersunk screws now you don't need necessarily countersunk screws it's just what I had in any shed so you can use something like that or something like that with a flat head flat heads probably good then whatever you got you need to go and buy something only something fairly small because you don't want it fairly short because you don't want to poke him through inside now your screw size it's going to be depending on how big your classes are and your holes are now if you haven't got a drill I'm just going to use a drill with a bit a Phillips head bit to screw me screws into the Castor's if you haven't got that you can just use a screw driver but it might just take a bit longer using a screwdriver there you're just gonna [Applause] somebody using croft would say I can going in there which is not yet softwood which is good for this sort of thing the guy using a screw roll off and I'm gonna do it the easy way [Applause] there's we based our movie four wheels now I'm going to spin that over I'm going to attach the other tire okay we want to attach the two tires I'll sit this one on top line it all up there with this one I think I can line it all up on top and just drill through four equally spaced holes and then I'll bolt them together now if your tire does it allow that you're going to have to probably drill through this one oh wait you space holes put that on top mark the hole through with a bit of chalk or what have you got take it off and drill those four arms put it back on and fold it through [Applause] maybe I have to use really long box hitting on your time again [Applause] [Applause] I'm just doing these folds up with a sander and a ratchet but is whatever is not Friday the tube tires attached together with four box my basis along with my four casters so I can pull it off stick it on the ground and just seen it's gonna work all right looks all right to me so my next step hit the top that I cut it up and I'm going to attach four bits of wood four blocks on the bottom side so it basically said is the top so when you using in your landrieu it doesn't slip off all off but you can still take it off now cut four blocks anything will do something reasonably small I'm just gonna drill pre-drill a hole out in the middle just so it's easy to get me screw in that's all right and then the next step is take your top off measure the inside diameter of your tire so it's about 425 mark my inner circle which is the inside of that so these will be on about the edge of that circle you you
