hey guys it's Paul and I've got a little situation that I'm gonna try to deal with here I've got one of those nasty white water rings on our family heirloom piano and it is something that has been intimidating to me I've wanted to deal with it for a number of years now and been just kind of apprehensive to do so because I don't want to make it worse so I came across this product called restore finish that comes in different color shades there was a dark walnut that seems to match up pretty closely to the color of the piano so I'm gonna give it a whirl the process is essentially I'm gonna take a dab of this product and put it on some Faurot steel wool which is what was recommended on the directions and I'm gonna wipe it in with the grain of the of the piece and I'm gonna work it in aggressively for I'm gonna say a minute or so and then I'm gonna immediately wipe it off with a clean paper towel and then about a half hour later I'm gonna apply another product called feed-in wax which is a mixture of some waxes and orange oil and this is really supposed to kind of blend it in and provide a protective layer over the top of it so wish me luck I am still a little apprehensive about this and if this doesn't go well then the next video you might see will be me making a piece to match this on in the shop and that's a video I don't really want to make so anyway wish me luck man are you kidding me I look at this piano now from any angle I don't see a hint of where that white ring used to be so I'm sold on restorer finish I'm glad to have this now in my arsenal moving forward hope you find this useful good luck removing any white rings that you might have on your furniture and please subscribe to the tool Metrix channel for more videos coming your way thanks
