all right I'm going to pinch the edging first so these ball border I've done down the bottom I'm going to do on second tier and talk to you so to do those you just want the colors of the cake into the edge ink I've chosen purple pink and green for this cake design and that was literally because of my customers order she literally wanted purple and pink and butterflies or flowers so we discussed a cartoony type theme which is why I went for this on top which I really really like that's very cool and then to do the balls you literally get you fun to now and roll it into balls I've just torn it apart into nearly the same size not exact by any means and roll them into balls so you will need a fair few you can see how many went around the edge there I'll just show you to get started how to attach them and then you'll see me put the rest on and I also finished decorating them too with some flowers and butterflies all right sorry well that's a major size different so I'll just make that one smaller alright so I like purple pink green so I'm going to do the same again so the ball will rest against there and against there try not to put too much water on because the water will smooch out and become quite gluey and yucky looking so you can't pre-roll these balls either they have to be done at the time when you're putting it on the cake because they'll start hardening and you want to be able to squish it into the cake a bit so it sticks there all right don't do that right no purple pink green I do want to keep it the same purple I've got the other colored fondant on my hand and take that pink off purple pink green purple pink Green and repaid alright we just did the edging yeah and they tipped with the edging ears make sure you start at the back so if your color sequence doesn't work out right at the end if you have it starting at the back doesn't matter at all so I also mentioned I had some marks on my cake before and I've just covered them with butterflies don't matter so again pick pick your battles pick your challenges up the rest just just let it be well writes a noun designing the final bits of my cake the final touches of decoration so my customer did want butterflies and flowers so that's round going with these and they can just literally be stuck on glued on and if there's something you want to cover ie any marks so I think of section three of them over this side will be nice go white one down the bottom just sitting on there that one's got a bit of a mark on it so I might cover that with the butterfly so to join them up you want water in the butterfly not too much so I'm has a bit of a drip on it and then for it to sit there it's got a stick and you've got to give it a little bit of time for it to stick I don't know that it will because it very very solid and firm that fondant we'll just see if it does otherwise you could use royal icing to get it to stick there we are I think it's sticking now just be patient with it there we go then I've got this bunch of three flowers that I'm gonna put on this side and again I'm hoping that flower will stay where I put it good luck to me Oh could change my plans and have it three of them down that side just in case what do you think does it look nice I might do that because again like I said pick your battles as in what's really important in the end product and I don't really want to be messing with a flower that keeps falling off that would stress me out a little bit sorry I'm going for the three in the line and they will stay there so if you only just push them in a little bit so they glue oops alright and anything in odd numbers looks best so a set of three flowers looks pretty one three fives and then over this side was going butterflies pink butterflies so I'm gonna set it three on this side it's the one there and then two minis so I'm growing the water just down the back of the butterfly because that's what's actually touching the cake there's a little bit of excess water there I'm just going to wipe off and they're sliding around a bit but he's going to glue in a minute you just gotta be patient stay there mr. butterfly so if there's any marks you want to cover up this would be the time to deal with your decorations might go him they're at a different angle it's one two three butterflies together that looks good or I'm gonna spin him around so I can see him now that looks pretty good there is a bit of a bear patch of this side here but I don't really want to add anything there just the case it falls down like that one so he will stick there it's just the fact there's a little bit too much water just pull some off and just needs to be held there for a minute or so and it will stick you
