Please explain how to: installing headliner in 1984 - 2001 jeep cherokee xj - getjeeping

hey buddy Tyler back here I'm recording my new Canon t3i so things gonna be a little bit different when you see I'm back in the Jeep here but I am going to replace this nasty nasty headliner this thing is faded it has rips and you see there it smells like cigarettes because purrs I bought from smoke but I'm going to replace it it's a over 100 about 87 inches long so you need it for in July X on each side and it's about four inches wide 40 inches wide so I went on eBay of course and I get a roll of headliner material and this is a great color with padded real and was really nice I just picked out the random gray it is like a hundred and ten inches long sixty some inches wide so I'll leave a link to that and then I also came with for $65 with the thing plus plus say he's up here a few little tools you'll probably need is just screwdrivers mine mine is mainly Phillips don't use a drill gun you might run into something you don't want to razor and I got a pay knife and I think they scrape off the glue from the old mat figure idea to solve ORS is set up with some plastic so I don't get this old glue of foam everywhere course the tripod set up on and then go ahead and open up all your doors so you can kind of in it out so you can get around everywhere see here I got my new speaker in the back let's see here you got all these little screws all the way along there you gotta take all that trim off and I'm gonna start going to navigate through all that trim off to order to put take the headliners off itself yeah I heard a little bit difficult by me attempt to try to do it when you see up in the front camera is going to focus that to take all this off too and I guess I'll go ahead and get started and I'll jump back once I got something off everybody so on these handles here on the side of the door cause you have a few of them these parts just pop off like that and you get your screw hole down hook those I did unlike the mirrors get this part which I still don't know what the thing ever was get the little Clips here now I'm here there's a lot of little clips that we gotta take off all on the vehicle hopefully it's not too difficult but I'm going at hey guys you see here I get everything off this part stays on if you sending right now and it comes out and you don't hook the hook yeah all the trim off I don't know how to get this piece off I don't think might not be a problem by everything else off always the back all the way around what you can background go all the way around it's all it's all taking off so now is the process of yanking this thing out let's thank everybody you see here good all taken out and see my roof you see where the old glue is and all that and wow this looks different taking it all out but now I have this sitting out here and there's a yank it all off okaywe you can see right here I got all the old glue off that's what I was doing I forget to mention that but I was getting to all this old all this little glue off and you see has spots everywhere it's okay because normally you would just it's like this old stuff but this new stuff has a foam padding on it so you won't see all those spots but what I'm going to do is go through here like where the seat belt things were I'm going to cut a hole cut the finish cutting that and then I'm going to start laying it down and gluing everything and I'll course your court but I'll be right back so here's the glue that I got on the came with the package on the back it says to spray it and let sit for two minutes on on this as well as the material so I'm going to set the camera up and point it and so go I'm a little bit nervous kind of less Rather's work but it shouldn't be too hard as this is just cloth so let's go for it so you can see where we're at now with it it's all nicely down it looks pretty good my ass wrinkles here and there but I have extra which I'm happy about that means I can do the speaker bar you see there and some of the trick is having some indent so it's very easy just clean it off the same way wrap it and you're done well you see I got all the holes cut on it and I ran a glue actually so I can't you overlap that like I want but I'm going to do is wipe it in I'm just going to push it up when you see you have done all the way long get my holes cut for all the different pieces I actually messed up on the the speaker bar so I might have to redo it I'm hoping that that the order new cloth but if I can use why I've left but now it's time to install it which is going to be the part of the hardest part of the whole thing hey buddy so you can see I get the headliner in looking nice kind of dark out but yeah everything in all the stuff screw back again still need a vacuuming I got some junk on some about vacuum it all out but very very nice much better than why before you go back in the video and see it looks really good the color matches perfectly very nice that six file all that's been in this car well thanks for
