hey everyone how's it going today today i'm going to be showing you a tutorial on how to tie dye or bleach whatever you want to call it your own jeans jean jacket whatever gene that you have that you want done today i will be showing you how i do it personally and the step-by-step of what i go go through um this this tutorial is actually going to be broken down over two days um because that's how long it took me it doesn't always necessarily have to take two days but that's what worked for my best for my schedule and it's not gonna hurt it if you do wait over the two day period you'll see what i'm talking about as we go along what you're going to need is a rubber glove or two of them actually some bleach any brand works you're going to want some rubber bands i like this pack because it has multiple size rubber bands thicker and thinner rubber bands you're also going to need a jean jacket or a pair of jeans i got this one for the thrift store for i think like a dollar dollar 99 and so whatever you want to use so what i'm doing here is i'm taking pieces or chunks of the jean you can go from anywhere from an inch to an inch half an inch however you want just scrunching it up and putting rubber bands on it you can do different styles you can cross rubber bands over each other you can make greens um it doesn't matter okay so i'm finishing up doing the rubber bands it can either look more simple or crazier than this but here is a good example what it should look like now i'm just taking my trash can mine was a little dirty so i'm just going to rinse it out a little bit um it doesn't need to be perfectly washed if you're one of those people that need it to be clean go ahead and clean it um i'm going to be washing the jeans afterwards so it really doesn't matter and bleach kills all the germs anyways but we're just rinsing out the uh bucket and then getting ready to fill it up now i'm just filling up the bucket or the trash can with um some water you just want to go a little bit more than the third of the way up i'm taking the bleach and pouring it into the bucket um i actually just used i'm using the rest of this bleach so it's probably only about two three cups um you don't need that much that's why you're putting it mixing with water because bleach is very strong if you have too much it's gonna make it i mean i don't know actually what exactly it will do but because i don't ever really measure mine i just know that you want to put more water than bleach however much water you use you should probably only put equivalent about between a fifth to a seventh of bleach per water so one cup water would equal 1 6 1 7 cup of bleach if you do what i'm saying and now i am taking the jeans and i am dumping it in the bleach water stop making sure it's soaked all okay so what i did was let the jeans sit in the bleach water for a couple hours and then late last night i actually or probably six hours and i late last night i dumped all the bleach water out and i put in fresh water and i let it sit like that till the next day just only because i was busy you don't have to do that it usually is done after a couple hours um but i ran out of time so this is what i was able to do so right now i mean the water still has a little bit of bleach in its egg as you can see but right now i'm pouring it out and you want to pour it somewhere safe because it is bleach water and be careful not to get on your clothes because it does flash a little bit when you dump it out okay now what you want to do is i would suggest putting gloves on for this and taking all the rubber bands off it doesn't matter which order just take them all off make sure you've got them all out um i ring the jeans a little bit sometimes while i'm doing it and i do it over the bucket just so bleach water it doesn't get everywhere and get on my get on my clothes or my shoes so that's what i'm going to do right now just take all the rubber bands off okay so here's the final result from my first a set of bleach you might want to keep your jacket as is because i do really like how this looks but i'm going to actually do a second bleaching just so you guys can see how you guys can actually get somewhat of a tri color going on okay so now you're just going to give it a quick washing with some soap and i did a warm cold water and you're just going to wash it now i have a fresh washcloth washcloth fresh washed jacket and what i'm going to do is what i did um previously and that's just rubber banded all up again no particular order just go crazy with the rubber bands here it is all rubber band up again and what i'm going to do is basically just repeat the same steps i did for when i first started out i'm going to fill up the bucket and put some bleach into it and then drop the gene into the water again or the bleach water i'm sorry as you can see i actually have a different bleach than what i started out with it really does not matter what kind of weight you use you just want to make sure that you don't use too much in your water so here is the final result um i obviously rinsed it off unread uh on rubber banded on and re-washed it the jacket i have on is the one i showed you guys how to make with the two different sessions of bleaching here's a jacket that i pre-pieced or i just made a couple days ago um just with one set of bleaching and then a shirt that i made um that is actually made of a thinner jeans so you want to use way less bleach and not let it sit in there for too long or you're gonna get super white um i actually wanted to go for that looks that's why i did that but if you don't want it to get too white then you want to do way less time and weightless bleach in your water so i hope you guys enjoyed um this how-to do-it-yourself bleaching or dyeing jean and please subscribe i will be posting a lot more videos of how to do it yourselves and enjoy the rest of your week guys thank you
