quick fuel technology is one of the few companies that truly build high-performance carburetors with electric chokes the carb main body is designed for maximum airflow even when a choke horn is in place and adjusting the automatic choke only requires a small screwdriver in a couple minutes of your time you must start with a completely cold engine simply loosen the three small screws that hold the choke retaining ring just loosen them enough so that you can rotate the choke housing in either direction open and close the throttle once by hand then adjust the choke by turning the choke housing counterclockwise to close the choke blade here in socal the average ambient temperature is around 75 degrees Fahrenheit so we adjust the choke flap so that it just barely closes with no further preload on the choke spring in colder climates and with seasonal changes you may have to adjust the choke with more preload that makes it stay on longer once you have set the choke plate and tension where you want it tighten the three retainer ring screws and reinstall the air cleaner start the car it should start and remain running on the high idle step of the throttle linkage after a short warmup period quickly hit the throttle and the idle should slow to the normal idle rpm for more information please go to quick fuel technology
