hi I'm Alex from dildos and today I'm gonna try and teach you how to cut glass bottles so what we'll leave is he lay down in front of us that's your normal box standing glass cuts are quite cheap from being cute this can be used essentially this is what you need what you want to do is score the bottles I've got one like already scored here so what you want to do is create a school I like that so you can do it freehand with this glass cutter but I prefer to use is this cheap and incredibly useful to the g2 glass cutter and essentially it's got a glass coating on the bottom and this whole rig is to help you kind of get the right height for your bottles so all you do is loosen your nuts and that just means you can now pick which height you want to cut your bottle up so you stick that in the top of the bottle you take it down to the desired height you want to make sure this is straight tying your knots up and then you use this arm to get this line straight along the bottle so it takes a little bit of lining up there you go if you have a look it up you can see it's straight down the ball and you just apply pressure with this hand set in the bottle of the other hand and there you have your score really the light to the score the cleaner the cooks gonna be so you only want to go around once and try not to overlap the rotation so now we've done that we just need a bit of hot and cold water and we'll be away okay so we've scored the bottles and now what we're going to do is make the actual cut there are a few different methods and techniques to making the cut but the one that produces the cleanest break which takes the least amount of time to polish up and make it safe that I've found is using hot cold water so that's what we're going to do now so I boiled the kettle but I've left it for a few minutes because sometimes the water can be too hot and what you can do is crack the bowl in a kind of a desirable way so down down it all up the netcode okay so we've got this near boiling water and now all we do is pour it school basically we're just trying to heat the bottle up around the school and now we put the cold water on not too quickly because it might crack the bottle let's see if we can get it to crack along the score okay now you can see from that picture that the crack runs all the way around to score line and that's brilliant once you have that complete crack then all you need to do is just pour a small amount of water on it you cook glass bottle and look at how smooth that edges great and that's it I hope you've enjoyed that and there you can find more how-to videos on the website all the best
