I'm Jasmine Katyn from Valhalla mountain touring and today I'm gonna show you a few tips on how to skin downhill so the first thing that you want to think about doing is leaning back so if you're gliding down hill with your skins on and you lean forward you're potentially going to faceplant because your heels are not attached to your skis the second thing you can do to help be more stable when you're skinning downhill is to drag your poles on the ground out from your body so they kind of act as outriggers and can stabilize you and give more balance as you're gliding downhill if you use these couple of simple tips when you're skinning downhill it can save you from an embarrassing faceplant on the skin track you
