and their brew to mix master DJ is back at you this time yeah I know that's pretty lame white boys can't scratch or a raft whatever I know this however what I can do is I can review beer and I can mix up some drinks guys so what do we got tonight man no craft beer no sodas we got the mixed drink action going on and you see we got a lot of ingredients tonight usually were to 12 ingredient drinks 3-ingredient drinks the most maybe floor but tonight we're going to get a little deeper tonight we're going to do a classic drink a classic drink that has a million different variations tonight we're going to make up my type not my day like a person's name but might I ok my time originated in Hawaii or tropical region i believe of hawaii and there's like i said out so many different variations of it this is what i happen to like so if you comment and you send me another recipe hell i'll try it send it my way but there's a lot a lot of different versions of this drink but anyways enough locking my jaws let's get into this one first you got to have your equipment set up its best when you're making mixed drinks got everything laid out you're ready to go ahead of time you're making drinks for folks you can do it on the fly but you know what be prepared what's the Boy Scouts say so we start out with our shaker with ice I've got this already prepared we've got our liquors here we're going to start out with two shots or measures as some people say of Rome 2 ounces so one this is dark rum I like this bacardi it's pretty nice not too expensive and has really good taste to it not real boozy and has that nice sugar and caramely taste that you're looking for in a dark room okay we got two measures of that now we're going to do a half measure each of an apricot brandy so that's half ounce one and then a half ounce of triple sec now I hear you guys know what my toe to my mind a doesn't or Mike I so I'm getting confused here my my atty doesn't use apricot brandy it doesn't use triple sec guess what there's like I said there's a million different versions of this drink drinking one that you think tastes good guys and I'm that's what I'm making tonight so now we're going to have a half shot of roses lime we could use fresh lime juice on this but I think I find with this particular version it's a little bit too tart other versions use fresh lime juice and you put powdered sugar in it but it's a pain in the butt sometimes checkup powdered sugar so I'm going where's is lime juice tonight so I'm going to do a half ounce of that all right we got it in there now we've got a whole shot of pineapple juice here mix that in and we're going to do one shot of Angostura bitters a couple dashes in there now we're going to do my favorite part we're going to get the shake face on guys move this out of the way so we present all right note the shape base boom all right we got that shaken up now we're going to put this in our glass but what we need first is some crushed ice I've pre-crushed this we have a running like I said like the Boy Scouts a fee for taters yes the hands are clean I did wash them so we've got lots of nice crushed ice in there and let's pour it off look at that lovely drink great color to it nice caramel sort of tropical fruity look at invite you in to grow pot which I think i'm going to do i'm gonna have to taste to this one let's say ma'am that says Drake me man's gotta let pineapple on the background the line you got the sweetness of the rum and the triple sec and the apricot brandy man all blended in there I really like this version of the mai tai I'm going to have a taste of it just to remind myself how much I do like it perfect can't taste a bit of the alcohol this is a sneaky drink guys you see it's got plenty of alcohol in it be careful when you drink this one really simple to make not too much too big of an investment in in ingredients if you made the goombay smash with us you've already got all these ingredients so and if you made margarita or whatever and you're following along with this you know what give it a try guys you've already got the ingredients it's worth a shot if you don't like it you do like it let me know comment and I'll see you guys on the next DJ's brew tube peace out you
