hey guys what's up it's all I'm stricken welcome back to another episode today I'm going to teach you something really quick and easy to do and it's how to magnetize the tip of a screwdriver don't spend extra money to do it yourself if you're like me you use a lot of screws and a lot of screwdrivers in your life so you know that when you try to position a screwdriver into a narrow space or a very small dark area it's tough when you drop this screw and it you just can't get to it again so you gotta get another screw and now you have this thing bobbling around and tight quarters probably inside your car make a noise the best way to take care of this problem is a magnetized screwdriver now there's no reason to buy one and spend extra money when you can do this yourself in a matter of seconds this is a typical tray that holds screws while you're working and it's magnetized is a pretty strong magnet on the bottom of it take your screwdriver rub it along the bottom the base where the magnet is and just drag it along and within seconds what ends up happening you have a magnetized screwdriver let's grab another tool and try so let's try with some pliers so we see nothing's being picked up drag it across the face of the magnet now honestly any magnet will do it doesn't have to be this specific tray here any strong magnet will do just drag it along a few times and now you got and magnetized tool I'm sure many of you guys have these things around this is the Chuck that goes into and a drill does you notice mine is not magnetized now I'm not sure why this works I believe we're like rearranging atoms or something I don't know about a scientist I'm a mechanic see that pretty cool alright guys thanks for watching it's I'm stricken and I'm out
