that's it or some inlay okay just to give you some ideas of things to do here's two different sticks where I've hiking sticks where this one I put a nice large piece of leather on put a piece of climbing rope and actually a bead right here and carved did some turn carbon on here so just simple things but excellent wabun also turns it up to make it a very nice gift this one I inlaid a piece of turquoise in the middle of a what I call an aspen leaf and this was a real pretty stick to start with but I took and wound some leather lace around down here just for decoration and I also put a little bit of turquoise inlay in the middle of this particular feather carving here so I have feathers carved all over this one and this is an interesting stick in that early on its life this tree two small three had an elk chew on this bark right here and chew the bark off so that made it a very interesting Pete and up here also very interesting piece of Aspen this is a beautiful stick we just found it by accident it obviously had died a few years earlier the upper part but the bottom part has still had a little life in it for some some time after that so the top part stayed white and the bottom parts had a natural Brown to it and we in laid some turquoise stone or so and carved a feather at the top and so this is just the example if you look long enough what kind of sticks you might find and I might also point out here this we just put regular tips on the bottom of them carve them down put some glue on the tip and then stick it on there just adds to the safety for people that are going to use it okay we're going to put up all kind of an elongated lattice pattern here here's about four inches you can carve anything you have the ability to carve but this is just something I've discovered recently and I like the way it looks after and finished so I'll show you parts of this as I go along so we've card the pattern now we're going to sand it down a little bit to knock the edges off of it so we're going to go back and take a little stain and put over this whole thing and they'll darken it and I'll show you the finished product in a minute now that's starting to look like a card stick we'll do a few other things to it but that's after we put some stain back in after we carved out those lines in there you I'm starting to get a place in there little tipsy we'll open it up a little bit here and there you get a little more that's going to work and written at all to give my theater but around their age of that once that sets up that's not going anywhere yeah I am going to spray that is I take this and spray it then I can polish it off let that dry for a few minutes that's going to keep the glue from staining around the edge here and I'm going to cause I'm going to put glue in that and that is around the edge of that fill it
