hi i'm linda hutchinson of l hutchinson designs today i'm going to show you how to make bridal hair flower clips and combs so here i have a comb a clip some needle nose pliers a fancy metallic looking flower and a hot glue gun now this has a wire stem that i'm going to try to use to adhere it to the comb and the clip but if that doesn't work i have my glue gun as a backup i like the idea of using the wire if possible because this way after the day you can always use it for some other project if you don't you know want to keep it as a comb after the wedding the wire will allow you to recycle it and repurpose it so i'm just weaving it around the base of the comb you want to make sure that it's secure and you want to make sure that there are no rough wire edges that are going to dig into your scalp that would not feel good so there it seems to be very secure and not leaving any rough areas so that is a great way that you can make a comb and it's a nice metallic very fancy looking flower you can use a white one you can use any color perhaps you want to make them the color of the bridesmaid dresses whatever it is that you prefer now i'm going to take this off of here and show you how you can put it on the comb if you're more comfortable with the column and excuse me with the barrette clip instead of the comb if you're more comfortable with that option again you want to wind it around the bar of the barrette but you want to make sure if you do this that you do not interfere with the mechanics of the clip so you want to get it around this top bar not around the part that opens and closes around the hair and you can twist it around making sure that it goes under the mechanics of the clip or of course if you want to just leave it as a permanent thing you can always hot glue it it's a matter of choice and whether or not you're going to want to repurpose it for something else for instance if you want to be able to take the flower and perhaps put it on a wedding album or something to embellish that you may want to just use the wire so that's a way that you can put it on the hair clip with the wire or you can just snip off the wire and hot glue it on directly and you have a clip or a comb my name is linda hutchinson and thank you so much for joining me bye-bye
