Please explain how to make industrial/cyber goggles

right hello there um got another project this one I need some cyberpunk or industrial looking goggles for going with I've got some ideas for the goggle parts this is what I'm going to show you here you're going to need a few things I've got some scrap leather any old scrap level do I've got loads of this stuff so or PBC will do as well and that's for making straps and whatnot you're also going to need two of these old paint cans preferably the same type of paint cans you've got lots of these leftovers and two of these or you can use do drink cans any aerosol can that you've got two of them match okay so you probably got leftover we're going to recycle this and I've got some mesh which I'm going to use this is actually mesh from an old speaker front yes the speaker front this is old mesh from the speaker front and that's what you need for materials is not a lot you need two of these one of those and some lever tools you're going to need some sandpaper any old sandpaper will do scissors I got them a good old fashioned good old multi-tool which I cannot do without a 2p piece you'll see in a minute some old pliers some PVA glue and some superglue and that's all you need alright we'll go on to making it do this in a well-ventilated area preferably outside this side of the camp this very sharp knife Oh No - lots of nasty stuff in here it's no different when you're spraying so just let the can leap what you're gonna do take a sharp knife and just slice round it rather use a can opener it's probably the best thing to use good condition one of these is that you can actually put the paint in jars and it gets quite a while I think I've got a jar and you can use it to dry brushing and stuff like that this bit you don't need to get rid of that these bits this bit useful so I keep that always good to have spares what you left with is okay put that's one side let that dry they've let that dry that's what you need to do now take a pair of pliers and basically should they're to peel this like an old spam can if you're very very careful sometimes it works you can see you get a nice clean edge just there and this you can tidy up later all right what you're left with is some rugged edges the best and best thing to do is I've with a hammer or your pliers or something heavy it's all a dremel a dremel will do it basically I'm using it to curb it over now at this point use some sandpaper or file providing the key for your glue cleanup what I've used is a dremel type tool just to grind that down does it just a key for you glue but also smooths down the edges it's also a good idea to go over with and some sandpaper just make sure you get no next bit turn it over now this bit is dangerous best bet is to use a dremel or a can opener I'm going to use my knife so be careful if you're younger than 16 17 getting a dull to do this it's not easier and just basically work your knife all the way around on the inside as you can see I don't know if you can see that there's a hole in there now work all the way around to remove that central piece then use metal you do something like this tends to break up quite cleanly at the pivot point you should be able to just pull it away and that's what you're left with get rid of a a good idea which is what I do is to run a rounded edge on the inside just to square it well round up what you want to do is get a file in there get some some paper in there and just clean that up so you get a nice smooth surface it's what you're left with it's one of those and what I'm going to do now is I'm going to give it a really good Sun make it nice and shiny still wet and dry the back you get something resembles those nice and shiny two of them side-by-side you can see the point a little bit like that I put them to one side say what you need next mesh that's what if he comes in that it's approximately the size of the whole 2 P so what you want something a little bit bigger than two pens piece so you use that as a guide and your mesh and just draw around and cut it out alright I'm asleep I've cut stabbed I've actually used a dremel again I do look my dremel and I you actually finished off using the knife it works quite well you can get auto body shop aluminium mesh which increases its that's probably the best stuff but I add what was lying around and basically just clean off the edges so you get rid of all the sharp edges use sandpaper or whatever you've got found watch the girl sharpened stone see one side is quite a nice he's kept the color quite nicely and slightly bigger than a two piece piece TP piece that's all you need get rid of that so get your goggles Oh what you're gonna do let's place that in there and glue it in place I'm going to use superglue it's whatever I find a putty glue actually does a better job you can you can do the project glue but don't get in the holes and try not to let it go on the outside you see that's what happens then you go see that you can see the fingers with a mesh right knee all done that's quite cool I really enjoy that and what you need to do you need to need both good eye pieces and a little bit of scrap leather now I'm going to work on this side just see in a moment what you want to do just pop it on the scrap leather take a nice thick pen and then draw around I want you to do is to cut them out on the inside we drawn bit so we're going to cut out on the inside of this you'll see why in a minute right I've clear couple of disks right go cut the disc of leather now I'm going to work with them that way up and what we're going to do and take that and glue that onto there so you need super glue works really really well for this and it sticks really really nicely and you'll see why in a minute right there you go listen see you've now got a very very soft finishing putting over your eyes of their male in there I've just super glued it around and then just pressed it down till it set now what you want to do now you take your sharp knife and you want to press in and cut through the leather take a pair of scissors and cut up to the edge and then just cut like say round we do them what we're going to do take out blue they come from Lu we're gonna do is we're gonna put it on the inside edge here not a lot and then we press it in like so and we work away around and that should stick right there now you want to work all the way around on both for them I'll do that now you've done that you can see you've now got padding for where you go around the eyes it just helps a little bit next bit is you need a piece of leather doesn't matter how long yeah but what you want to do is take some PVA glue and glue it like so and so you get that that's what you're after at the moment taking PVA glue and just glue away press well you know neat next is some law of your soft leather sighs whines let's see I've got 11 centimeters by 7 centimeters and what I've done I've drawn an a like so without the here so basically two V's within each other and what we're going to do is we're going to turn it over very much like this pace gluon turnover so first mark out your a alright the hell so make two of those come out you're off wait there now got youtube it's what you do it's just take your PVA glue and just fold it over don't actually need a lot of glue as you can see I folded it over but now I'm going to do all right you've got your bits I've folded over your blessings dry it's a good idea if you've got some a heavy flat surface and just pressing down and it just keeps them together right you've now got the delicate task of gluing it all together and what we're going to do we have to leave a gap for the notes what going to do is I've cut this little length what we're going to do is I've centimeter over there we're going to glue it like that and as you can see I'm not actually going to glue it so we're going to glue it like that like so so get you goggles at the right width apart for your nose and so you can see out of them a good way to do this is use a pair of sunglasses or pair of glasses just to get your nose into place so you can see that's the right length all right wait for the nose take that off so I glue just here just see how it soaks in that's why I'm using superglue it tends to work quite well and then once that's in place press it down they go remember to let the stretches as well press that down once in place and glue all down the sides and go into place as you can see that's looking good we've now got these bits which have glued down now trim these down to the right size I want which is the width and the length I need I'm going to do is actually cut them matching length either side you can vary this length as much you like it's up to you how you design this I'm just using how its heads come together and what we're going to do they're gonna be on the side like that and what we're going to do is we're going to place them like so so we then no need so we need to figure out we're going to place them see that's what we want seem to look like I'm not going to move that you're going to work with the glue as it is so what I'm going to do is going to lift up dab a spot of glue on this box of glue on there and then put in its place squeeze but that's about right like so I should do it to let that dry we left with something that looks like that I've glued down inside now because you got glue lever on leather it actually does stay in place you can actually pull this quite a lot about and it takes a hell of a lot of beating you can if you want to go through the metal rivet it into place or screw it into place but I find the glue just as it you might better off using something like a hot glue that probably looks our better effectively that's that done goggles done now what a good idea is is once you've done it that's what it looks like once you've done it good idea is then to get a bit of an elastic or a bit of belt or something like that and just sew it along the line there I'm going to show you on another pair of steampunk ones that I made you see I've sewn it along there like so who's sewn on a bit of elastic anything will do these I wanted to look old and beaten but they are steampunk once I did just build them a stick goes around the head and that's it that's just steampunk goggles done I'll show you how they look once I put on the headband I've got some needle and thread and I've got one of these now this it's actually the waistband of a pair of trousers that I had sitting in the attic and I thought yeah we need put it out and then band it with the red it's quite a little bit of detail into all I'm going to do is I'm going to now sew that on to there and then move it round onto that bit there we go all done you see a friend let's finish buckles I'll do a photo the finished item you
