alright guys today's recipes and support a surf a they're an awesome organization check out the link below for more information we're gonna bang out a nasi goreng bond at harvest Isle let's go be epic let's go cooking it literally means fried rice I'm not going to use rice I'm going to use quinoa instead we're going from Indonesian so I actually have eaten a lot of this while doing surf trips through Indo I'm obsessed with it I've wanted to do it for a while so here we go again it's not a traditional style this is my version of it all I can guarantee is it's gonna be freakin tasty full of flavor so chilli shallots garlic it's gonna have prawns some chicken it's gonna have cracked egg on top of it it's got a soy sauce cord ketchup manis which is like a sweet soy sauce it's got a little bit of a little bit of shrimp paste in there and then some greens on top and some diced tomatoes it's super tasty it's really good for you like I said I'm using quinoa instead of rice just to make it that even little bit tastier a little bit healthier for you I don't know if I'm like in want or is it it's just leftover kid where I've had in my fridge you know you can just swap that for rice buckwheat brown rice you know you know whatever you got leftover so just peel and clean your prawns so we've obviously done this before on the channel I'm not gonna slice them up too much I want to keep them quite whole so that's the prep done so we're gonna do is we're gonna soften a schlotz guy like a chili just in some coconut oil pin it all be really tasty or sesame oil be good too so coat them in the oil you don't want to color them as such but you definitely want to sort of cook them nice and quick sort of crisp and all those flavors coming up so chicken and prawns are going in now I'm gonna go chicken first and toss coated and everything so the fish paste you know the eggs the ketchup manis is is pretty well essential in making it and as he going shrimp paste a lot of flavor you don't need much yeah Tony sorry I'm not sorry so I'm gonna add my quinoa I'm also gonna add a little bit of water just to help it warm through we're at like the word left over nothing should be thrown out there should always be a way to use it yeah sure I mean if you don't like prawns don't put them in there you don't like shrimp a so you use fish sauce or you can just go straight chili garlic shallots and everything else with a fighting on top you know it's I mean it wouldn't be traditional then but this isn't traditional anyway shrimp paste fish sauce so it brings a really nice and a salty flavor and then you've got like a sweet soy which is your ketchup manis and instead it brings a nice sort of sweet flavor to it it's gonna turn it down and I'm gonna come over here and just prep some of our garnish up so just a few Tomatoes I'm just going to dice them up and then I'm actually gonna fold some through to give it color and then sprinkle some on top it just might make it too too wet if I chuck it in there with all the seeds and everything else yeah you can add some peppers some shredded cabbage no matter how much of it you want to put in there go for it just to freshen it up add a bit of color so like I said definitely not a traditional massacring but you know what it's my version and it tastes awesome not finished yet all right so that's the base of a nasi goreng done or some people fold the egg through it some people put egg on top oh yeah ah look at that love a good nasi goreng reminds me of surf trips through Bali in Indonesia look guys I'm ready to smash this so you know to make sure you subscribe you got some comments or recipes you want to see us do make sure you leave a comment below check out fauna harbors calm eat well and I'll see you next week
