Please explain how to make aspic jelly for danish open-faced sandwiches

♪ ♪ Hello, how are you? Well today I'm going to make traditional
topping for one our sandwiches our liverwurst sandwich, and it's called
"sky". In English, I would translate it to aspic. I believe that's the correct
translation, and the "sky" we like I said we put it on our liverwurst
sandwich as a topping. We use it on the Hans Christian Andersen sandwich, and we use it on the very traditional sandwich called "dyrlaegens natmad" or I will translate it to "the veterinarians night snack". I hope you also will like it, and I'm going
to show you how to put it together. Thanks! So the ingredients for the in
Danish was called "sky" or in English aspic. I have two cups of water. I'm going to boil it with half a cup of chopped
onions, a little bit of parsley, 2 bouillon cubes. I take a tablespoon of
soy sauce, and I'm going to add 2 teaspoons of gelatin, and if you like, you
can also add some, a little bit of sherry for flavoring or white wine. However, I'm not using that today. So first of all I have to pour it all in, 2 cups of water, 1/2 cup of chopped onions, a little bit of parsley, the soy sauce. So here I have half a chopped onions and
parsley, two cups of water and I'm now adding the two bouillon cubes. I'm
going to heat it up to a boiling point. So this has been boiling for quite a while now, and now I add the two teaspoons of gelatin. I want to make sure that it gets all dissolved. So, I keep stirring it. And I am now going to strain it. And there I have my aspic or "sky" as
we also call it in Danish. And I'm going to let it cool down. And it'll take several hours.
If you don't have time to wait for that to cool down, I would recommend use a
little bit less water, and then you can of course add a couple of ice cubes, and
they'll cool down real fast. So here we have it. I'm taking the "sky" out of my refrigerator. It's all stiff, and I can now use it for my sandwiches. So, please try to make our "sky". As you can see, it is pretty wobblyish. But I think it tastes good. So go ahead and make it. Please subscribe to our channel. I look forward to seeing you another day. Thanks a lot for watching.
