hey what's up YouTube this is Dan the fix-it man got another quick video here for you just to show you how to unclog a slow draining bathtub pretty common but underneath the stopper there a lot of times stuff will collect especially if you've got people with long hair and a lot of times that just gets tangled up underneath the stopper there on the the little cross plate and all you need to fix it is a pair of needle nose pliers so as soon as this water drops down I'm going to show you how to take that stopper out and clear that drain and get it get it flowing the way it should be okay now that the waters drained out you want to take the stopper out and some are different but this one is threaded so you just grab it and unscrew it and that will give you access to the drain below and we'll be able to to get down there and clean that up yeah of course it's kind of gross but just reach down there with some needle nose pliers and you just want to see if you can grab it from underneath and pull that out a little bit at a time but of course as kind as I mentioned it's kind of gross but but if you can get that out of there that's what's stopping your water from from flowing freely sometimes it comes out and pieces sometimes it all comes out together in this case it's kind of breaking up and it's it's mostly just hair yeah and yeah maybe a dead rat in there I don't know but it's coming out okay once you've got everything cleared out of the drain with the needlenose pliers you just take the stopper I just cleaned this back clean this up and then just screw that back in and we're set to test it so let's go ahead and put some water in here and then and then we'll a see how that string and it's fixed water is going down fast and that's it thanks for watching and good luck
