in removing the sash the first step would be to open sash up the second step would be to identify the four parts that attach to the sash the operator has a bent worm here that is locked with a post on the underneath side and that can just be taken apart with a flathead screwdriver push it down get it out of the way then you have a long arm that comes out here and it's attached to a black plastic guide that slides in a track same thing just stick a flathead screwdriver in there and pop that down and then at that point your arm is disengaged you still have the hinge attached to the window but what you then would like to do is get the operator out of the way so by taking it and trying to get it across the back plane you can get that operator out of the way of your hinge slide it over a little bit it will continue to go back in there and then once that's out of the way you have the ability to get this black glide to slide past the edge of the track on the top and the bottom and then it will come out now you want to disengage the hinge at this point and I would recommend a second person on the inside of the house to help steady the sash because of the weight of it once you undo both hinges just firmly grab the sash and then slide that track completely out and there your sash is removed you can see that this little extra leg on the black glide here is what slides into the track to put the sash back at his place we need to insert this black glide into the track both at the head and the sill so I lift the sash up get it to engage into that track and once you have it both top and bottom then you can attach the hinge which will keep it in place and it's just a matter of pushing the hinge onto the post on that track and now your windows safe in its place so what we need to do is then get the operator back out and we're going to tax the long arm up under the black glide and then we're going to attach the post on the other part of the operator and it's back in its place this is a pressure fit and there you have it
