Please explain how to freeze corn on the cob

so it's corn season here in Quebec and I wanted to show you guys how I actually put up corn it's actually a lot cheaper to buy in bulk here we've got 13 and we've paid like 3 bucks for it so we're only two people that actually eat corn Mac you might eat half the corn so it's it's a lot of corn and it'll go bad if we leave it sitting around in the fridge so we're not going to eat it all at once so we're going to put it up and what we do is we put it in the freezer so here we have a corn a cob of corn and still in a task I've I removed the excess silk and some of the excess husk and as you can see it's pretty long so because we're putting this entire thing into the freezer silk husk and all and then we have to cook it this is going to be too long I'll being pretty hard to cook so what we'll do is we'll cut off this part this part which attaches to the plant so this is the stem and what I'm going to do is trim off the excess here you can kind of feel where the cob actually starts in this case it's right here so I'm just going to cut like about here rather than here can be a bit hard so be careful with your nose and as you can see the stem is still here but we've removed a lot of the excess and haven't even touched a cop so what you do is you take this and you stick it into your freezer bag and you stick it in the freezer okay so you must be saying to yourself okay genius so now that you've frozen that how on earth you cook it with the husk and also I suppose you could let it thaw and pull off the husk the silk and drop into boiling water which is the traditional way of doing it I personally never cook enough corn to really want to boil a big pot of water and do all of that so we actually do in a microwave and trust me it turns out really good the texture is fine the trick is you take the entire corn in this case frozen or if you have fresh you could do the same thing but you just put it husk silk'n all into the microwave two at a time and you basically cook it on high for 4 minutes 4 to 5 minutes depending on your microwave in our case 4 minutes is more than enough and the corn comes out perfect it's nice and crunchy it's not it's not waterlogged or anything so that's the way we do it and of course you just address it the way you normally would butter or in our case we like to put a bit of feta like double cream feta and a bit of cayenne pepper on it it's awesome anyway so if you guys want to see how we do it in a microwave I'm gonna have a video sometime later this week on how to do that and I'll post it up so anyway enjoy your corn everyone I'll see you guys next time bye and putting it into the bucket and then I'm going to turn on the hose okay that's it that season Oh baby Wilson boss come on
