that's regrettable it tried to take a call and so cut off anyway I was saying one time I did try to do this on a paperback book but one that was thicker and it was a shame really anyway okay so we're folding this top down like this now we're gonna do the other side so we're just making that cut like that right down to wherever the page meets the cover keep folding it down okay so now the only thing we're left with is these two little parts along the spine can you see that we're gonna just trim I'm gonna take my scissors and trim as very close to that as I can all the way around and I think it helps to just kind of angle the scissors and slide them along because you really don't want any of that hanging off cuz it will just get dirty okay there's one side make sure it's nice and tight sorry um nice and tight along the spine then we're gonna cut the other one and these little parts you throw away the very last thing you can do and I like to is like take this edge where you've got a little leftover of the contact paper that you cut measure it just so it's about an inch shorter than the length of the book cut that off cut it lengthwise down the middle still doesn't need to be perfect just about as straight as you can and then open up the cover of your book what we're gonna do is lay this right along here and it just just right along the middle it kind of protects the book a little bit more so you just open it you know nice and flat and put it on there it's kind of smart to do one side and then the other out like one you know lay it along one edge of the book and then you'll do it on the other otherwise it it won't necessarily opens the way you want it to just kind of right to the crease there some books are bound better than others and if they're not fantastic it does make this a little tricky just do the best you can and then I kind of press it down get that crease in there it looks good if you made it a little too long like I did it still kind of peels out from your pitch from it anyway you do that on the other side as well and you're done
