hello ladies and gentlemen this is Bryant with amusement source and it is time for a Thanksgiving edition of the info vlog now on this info vlog were actually going to talk about the new membership rewards system and how things are kind of coming together but first I actually want to go over some membership tier changes that look like are actually happening with Six Flags so when this whole membership thing rolled out in February or so of this year you could actually buy four different tiers you had gold plus you had platinum you had diamond and you had diamond delete right now Six Flags is actually offering the Platinum membership at the Gold Plus pricing point so if you sign up right now you can actually get the Platinum level for the gold plus price and what I think is probably happening is the gold plus level will be leaving us in the very near future and they're probably actually going to kind of change the pricing around so just keep that in mind I don't think that price change is probably going to come to the benefit of those who want to buy one now we're gonna jump into the Membership Rewards program basically what this is is a loyalty program that members can sign up for and you can earn points for visiting the park checking in the rides etc but Before we jump into that I want to make sure you guys are aware that you actually have to sign up for the membership rewards system so if you haven't done this yet go to the membership portal my past Six Flags comm on the left-hand side of the navigation you're going to see an account update link click on that account update link scroll to the bottom make sure you sign up for the membership rewards and it's that easy now I know we've actually talked about the membership awards thing when it came out initially but to be honest it's been a little bit of a mess so I wanted to do another video to recap everything and to go more in depth and now that things are really working and coming together so the way I look at it there are actually five main ways to rack up those rewards points and those are actually visiting your home park visiting a distant park making a purchase inside the park whether that's food or at a shop attending a show in riding a ride now if you visit your home park you're going to get 50 points a visit automatically when you scan to go into the park it automatically puts that in if you go to a distant park say your home park is Six Flags Over Texas and you want to go to a Fiesta Texas you'll actually get a hundred points for that visit so every time I go to Fiesta Texas I actually get a hundred points every time I go to Six Flags Over Texas I get 50 points every dollar that you spend gets you twenty-five points so when I went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas if you guys saw him in one of those past videos I bought the iron rattler model the little tiny coaster dynamics model and that actually got me well over 400 points if you check in to see a show you'll get six points if you check in to ride a ride you'll get three points now the way those check-ins work is you actually have to be within a reasonable distance of the show or the ride and you can check in you can do this once a day and if you get on your smartphone and download the Six Flags app you just pick the park that you're at at the top and you'll go to each ride in each show there will be a link or kind of like a button on those ride pages you actually click check in and it'll check you in if you can't check in then it means you're too far away we actually did some of this when we went to Fiesta Texas last so I'm going to put that video in right here so you can see how that process works so for those of you who are signed up for membership rewards you can actually check into right now on the App plus the Road Runner Express we're gonna click check-in it'll give you the same things that you're checked in and then within 24 hours you're supposed to see your point so you can only check in once a day to everything but you can check into rides shows and of course you get points for purchasing things and also points or going into the actual park itself Six Flags has actually made it really easy to kind of look at how many points you've racked up how you've received those points and what the rewards are now which was basically unveiled this past weekend so in order to see how many points you have go to your membership portal my past dot Six Flags com login and this works on mobile and on your regular desktop computer laptop whatever you have and it actually should really be at the top you'll see the membership rewards and I'm gonna start putting screenshots in here right now when you go to your membership portal like I said you'll see two links one will say redeem rewards and one will say view points so what we'll do first as we'll go to view points and once this loads you'll actually see right there how many points you have how many active points you have and then you'll see a list of how you've achieved all of those points so when you see mine you can see that I've purchased things I visited my home park checked into some rides fes2 Texas and it's actually going to show you when those points expire so it looks like they do expire two years after you pick them up so just keep that in mind if you're really trying to rack up those points now if you go back a page and you click on the redeem rewards link you'll actually see what rewards are available right now so you can see they've added a good handful I'm sure that these are actually going to change but we'll just kind of look over them you know for 750 points you can get a rocky candy stick small cotton candy for a thousand points you can get a large coke you can get a regular cup I see 2500 points get you small dippin dots you can go get a churro for 2500 points for 3,500 points you could get a soft pretzel and then you start getting into photo prints and you can actually get money off of retail purchases so 5,000 points gets you $10 off of a retail purchase 5,000 points also gets you a ticket to one haunted house and so forth you actually start getting into upcharge attractions like the sky coaster go-karts things like that the slingshot you can ride at Fiesta Texas for 7,500 points and it just keeps going and it looks like the biggest prize they have right now is a weekday cabana rental for 40,000 points it does look like that's on sale quote-unquote right now regularly it's 50,000 points right now it's 40,000 so keep that in mind it looks like these could fluctuate a little bit but really a lot of these are very obtainable I could totally get some of these lower options right now and I actually haven't really paid that much attention to gaining points when you make those purchases you got to make sure that they scan your membership card when those purchases are made or your reward system has no way of knowing when you make those purchases but honestly if you have a membership you you really should be scanning when you're purchasing things at the park because you get money off of those things that you purchase food and drink if you're portal let's say we want to get a regular cup I see you just hit the details button there and it's easy as that once you get details it flips over you hit redeem and then the reward is redeemed I'm not gonna go all the way through rewarding it because I don't think I want an Icee cup I think I want to build up some more points and see if more rewards add up as time goes on if you guys have any
