Please explain how to shine shoes with a blowdryer. by cpo geiger

hello fellow cadets and this is my shoe shining technique for you guys the van your shoes will look great these are my shoes that I bought last week not very shined up yet but they are getting there but you can totally tell the difference from using my shoe shining technique this is the shoe that I polished last night and this is the one that will be polishing today you could totally see the difference this one's a little bit similar this one's still rough my supplies I use a 100% horsehair brush to dust off any of the dust that's on the shoes and sometimes I use this to buff out the Polish my polish I use Kiwi I know there's a price tag I use Kiwi shoe polish black and then I use cotton balls you will see why during my video and I use this sock that my grandpa gave me to buff out polish this is my bane buffer let's use an old white t-shirt that I cut up to apply a Polish you can see the Polish on there I also use hot water and the main part is a blow dryer so we will be showing you how to do this alright the first thing you want to do is you want to get your rag and you want to make sure you always use the same spot that has the polish on it make sure that this is warm you put it in warm water and wring it out because the heat that's in the water will help bring out the polish the shine in the Polish first what you want to do is go ahead and dip your finger in in the water just a little bit and dab it out and then you're going to get your shoe polish and you are going to apply a lot of shoe polish on your shoes and onto your fingers then you're going to pick where you want to polish I usually just do the around this area I just do the toe you know because pretty much dress to the shoe I've never really done and I don't get marked off on it but that's your decision if you want to polish your whole entire shoe so what you want to do is you want to go in little small circles around the surface of the shoe all the way around here and once you cover the whole entire area you're going to get your shoe polish again you're gonna get another really really thick layer you're going to do it again little small circles all around the area you want shine keep going keep going keep going you want to make sure that when you apply your cloth ear on polish cloth you want to make sure that there's no wrinkles inside of the cloth because if there's wrinkles it just really messes up the shine got to apply this polish really really thick for it to get that good polish and especially when you use a hairdryer it'll melt really quick then you put one last layer so I do three thick layers of Polish and usually it does the job well all right while we wait for the polish to dry um we will I will show you my other shoe and how it looks and how I make sure that it gets the soy it does it might not look as good on camera but when you see it in person that looks a lot better you know you can even see my reflection inside the shoe so I might that must be a good sign I'm going to get my other shoe right now and compare it on my other shoes from last year camera just fell down to different sides of the shoe but still that's a left shoe that's alright too they can see they're about the same you can notice the wrinkles that are inside or that are right here that's just from walking up the stairs and walking around so what I learned from various sources is that you want to put something at the toe when you're polishing this is just the stuff that goes inside the shoe you know to keep the the toe o straight when you're buying it this is what I use and it just keep make sure that the whole entire toe is staying straight so if I woulda known that back my freshman year I would have been able to not get all these wrinkles so um the polish looks like it's about dry so we'll go back to that all right Oh camel keeps falling suits tan all right um so what you want to do is grab your little cotton balls or if you want to keep using your rag that's fine what I do is I dip the cotton ball in hot water and I dab it out and then I get my my hair dryer it's not my hair dryer just let you guys know um but I get the hair dryer and I just barely it you don't want to touch the shoe but you want to have it close to the shoe so that melts real fast and while it's melting you want to be going in little circles with this thing as much as you can so then it gets in there all right so it's gonna it might get a little loud so just let me know because of the hairdryer so to attain here and you don't really need the hairdryer on the whole entire time I just left it on there a little bit longer and what and you just get it in there and then you'll start to see a bit of a shine and once you start seeing that you know you're almost done looks good and then you're going to get your buffer whether it be a sock horse hair brush or whatever else you get um you start just gently well you're you got to work it hard but just you're not pressing it onto the shoe you're just gently rubbing it it won't look good if you got brand-new shoes it won't look good the first time it did take me three or four coats of Polish get my other shoe shine that way hopefully it'll look nice once I finish China see my so as you can see it does look a little better than it did before you can kind of see it the light from above me but it's not going to look like drill instructor perfect the first time around so you're going to have to do it a couple times I'd say four or five layers at four or five times on what I'm doing should do it I'm going to finish my up my shoes tonight if you have any questions go ahead and ask me on Facebook or wherever you any way you can get hold of me and I want to them I hope you guys have a great rest of your day and you
