Please explain how to get streak free glass - chemical guys car care

Welcome back to Detail Garage. So today I'm going to show you how to clean
your glass and keep it streak free. I know the biggest problem or at the least
the biggest problem I've had and always hated before was the windows. I would love detailing the car and spend hours
on the smallest parts interior and exterior and every weekend I would sit washing my car
and I would hate doing the glass. I always ended up with streaks. So I wanted to show you an easy way to clean
your glass, leave it streak free and hopefully it's less daunting of a task for you. So one big step on how to clean glass is to
have two towels. It's called the two towel method. If you have two towels one of them is for
wiping down any of the used product and that towel ends up getting wet and what happens
is when you're cleaning glass that wet towel is getting spent product back onto the glass
when you're tying to buff it off. So the second towel is meant to clean that
and buff it off and keep it dry so you won't have any streaks. Some people may use newspaper or other materials
and they think that it's the solution to streak free glass so if that works for you then keep
on doing it. Typically it doesn't keep it as clean as doing
a two towel method. To even further make sure I have streak free
glass, like I said I hated doing glass, is using a waffle weave towel. The waffle weave is great because it is going
to capture the product in it and it actually works a lot better for the glass. You can use regular microfiber towels just
keep in mind to use the two towel method. Today I am using both of our waffle weave towels. I'm using a blue and red so that way I know
which one is my cleaning towel and which one is my buffing towel. With that I'm going to use our
Signature Series Glass Cleaner. So I'm going to use the Blue Waffle Weave
as my cleaner and to show you how it is to clean the glass I'm going to clean half the
glass and show you the before and after so you can see it for yourself. Then I'm going to move on to the interior. Now the interior glass is easily forgotten
because people think it's not getting as dirty but it still gets dusty. So a lot of times when you see that your glass
still doesn't look really clear and clean like you want it that's because you forgot
about the inside. So we'll do the outside first and I'll do
this half and then I'm going to do the inside. As you can see this glass is very dirty so
it's a very good car to do this on because you'll see that before and after to see how
easy it is to do. There's two things you can either spray it
directly on the towel or on the surface either way it'll work just fine. Just keep in mind the two towel. This towel is a twenty four by sixteen and
I'm folding it in threes. When you're doing separate sections if you
have a lot of glass to clean you would just flip to a new side. I've already removed the tags from the towel. So keep in mind it is going to look dirty
at first because I haven't done the interior and a lot of the dirt and contamination is
on the inside. As you can see I already tool off a lot of the dirt. Now I'm going to go back with my second towel
and buff off. Now if you look closely you'll see that there
is still a lot of hand marks and finger prints which are on the inside. So if you look at the before and after it
looks really dirty but you'll see a really good before and after at the end because this
car still has dirt on the inside. So lets move on to the inside. So now we've moved on to the interior of the
car and we're going to do the inside glass. One thing to keep in mind is if you spray
your glass cleaner from the inside it is just going to fall right back down. So typically when you're working on the interior
you want to spray the towel. I'm going to still use my waffle weave towels
and I'l spray one or two sprays and I'm still showing you half of the glass. If you can see there is a lot of finger prints
or smudges and it looks like someone tried to clean this but didn't do it properly . I've already sprayed the towel and now I'm
going to clean the inside. As I'm cleaning you can still see streaks
that's because it is still the product on there. That's why you have your second towel and
I've already flipped my towel over to a clean side. Now I'm buffing off. And there you have it that is streak free
glass and it looks great. Here's the before and here's your after. Now like I said I used to hate this part of
the detail process and many people have this problem. Whether it be in their vehicles or even at
home when your cleaning windows the same thing can be applied. You can use the two towel method and do it
at home or in your car. So thanks for watching. Be sure to like this video. Subscribe down below and we'll see you next time.
