and in this video I'm gonna show you exactly how to use cardamom pods they have an incredible fragrance and I always recommend that people use the cardamom pods and crush the seeds rather than the pre ground powder because the fragrance the aroma and the taste is absolutely divine when it comes to buying cardamom pods you can buy three different types you can buy green white and black now black tends to be a completely different variety a more smoky flavor I'm not that familiar with now real cardamom pods should be green if they come in white that means they've been bleached so whenever I buy the green ones they tend to have the best aromatic flavor there's two ways that you can do it if you have a really good pestle and mortar then you can crush them if you don't have a pestle and mortar then you can chop them with a sharpening knife so the first thing you need to do is crack open your pod you can use a sharp knife to do this crack open just unleash the seeds and throw away the pots and then the next thing you need to do is take a really sharp heavy knife bring them all together and then just chop them all you want to do is you want to scrape all your seeds together in a pile then you want to chop them over and over again and again and again it's probably almost impossible to get them really fine but you're gonna get a rough powder from doing this the next way I'm going to show you how to use cut them but it is my favorite way and I'll always use this way if I have a pestle and mortar with me it's crack open the pods that the seeds fall into your pestle and mortar then what we're gonna do is we're just writing them so we get a really nice fine powder so that's not going to take long it's a really nice fighting ground cardamon ready for your delicious cuisine so thanks for tuning in if you resonate please do go subscribe to my youtube channel come see me on Facebook and visit my website Trinity's kitchen calm and I'll see is it bye for now
