everybody because of a bunch of requests I got I decided to do a series on actual trap sets so it's gonna be great from the fall beaver trapping open water right through to muskrat summing sets that I use Martin Fisher wolf sets Fox links otter and so on and so you know for all the young guys out there I hope it helps with some questions you had and good luck on the line already hey guys here we are making a we're gonna put in a Lynx pen set snare set okay so what we do is we've got an area that the links are traveling in you can see this is a know the regen 15 year-old regen it's really good links area rabbits quite a few rabbits in around you can see the tracks all over so we picked a spot where I've seen them traveling all winter long then you know there's a many different ways to set this up you can do the to snare way this I'm gonna use put three snares in here so I'm you can put the whole pin with the poles up and down like this or you can cross them like this and then just wiggle your branch it in here what I'll see if I can get the camera on there so that you can see now like I don't cut though just to save a little bit of wire you know what you do you don't cut the piece of the head of time cut a long piece put it around the tree get it twist it right where you need it twist there up tight with the pliers and then just cut it off you know why have four inches of wire sticking out each sides you know four inches of wire is not a big deal but when you do it a hundred times in a year twisting stuff like that on there and also news hundred inches away while you're expensive it's just when you run out it's a pain in the button okay so then you got your cross polls put in there now you just take your branches and weave them in between these cross polls to block this whole thing off now you know your little animals are gonna you Martin make whatever weasels they're gonna run in between here which is fine you're not setting for Martin for weasels okay so now that's the one side completed now your snare is gonna sit right in here the other wall gonna be done the same and then the other one and we'll you've got the bait in the back it's got to be blocked off really good so that you know they can't sneak in the back way but I'll uh I'll turn the camera back on when I've got it more closer to finished hey guys here we're finished with the set now you see we got the one snare right there another one right here another one on the other side these are all hooked up to drag poles instead of solid like I said I don't want the links getting in there and just ruining the set after he gets caught it takes too much work to get it back together but now that it's there it's gonna be good for years you know in a person one and he could also put a couple snares back here for wolves but I just don't got time right now and it's too late in the season but next fall because the Wolves do run through here I'll or next summer I'll come in here and go all the way back through here and clear off a few trails drop some snares in and just hang them up in the tree so they're not set so that they get a descent to fight or whatever and go from there so then the last step on this was to put some scent in there on some of the trees up there and then our attractor alrighty that's just a slightly different sort of links cubby snare set or pen set whatever you want to call it or because it's in that shape maybe we'll call it a chorale set like I said
