welcome to pink princess i'm andrea and today i'm so happy to be teaming up with sharon from creative cakes by sharon she's going to show you how to create this hello kitty cake you can see the link at the end of the video or in the video description below i'm going to show you how to make a hello kitty cupcake or cake topper really really cute and if you guys love cupcakes don't forget to click the subscribe button here if you haven't already done so okay to start off with i'm just icing my cupcake you can find the recipes on my channel next i'm going to roll out some blue colored fondant icing you can find out more about fondant icing and a list of materials in the video description below i'm using my circle cutter to cut out a disk of fondant and i'm just moving it over on top of my cupcake now i'm putting that aside and i'm just showing you the template that sharon has kindly provided to me i'm going to use that as a guide to make my little hello kitty figurine you can find the link to the template also in the video description below and i've bought a ball of white fondant and i've slightly flattened it and i've stretched it out a little bit and now i'm just shaping the ears smoothing as i go i'm going to place that aside in a little bowl now onto the body i'm just going to create a little red dress board up a ball of fondant and i'm just shaping it with my hands to form almost like a triangle shape but just flattening the top bit there if you want measurement it's roughly about two and a half centimeters long and two half two and a half centimeters wide and the heads about three centimeters by two and a half centimeters now onto the arms just rolling out a little bit of white thunder dusting it with my corn flower so that doesn't stick and now cutting the two ends off to form the arms smoothing the ends over and just slightly flattening the arms i'm going to stick that onto the dress with a little bit of my water next creating the legs rolling out a sausage shape and just cutting it in half i'm just gonna slightly shape the feet so just pulling it up slightly to create the feet then i'm going to attach that onto the dress now i'm pulling out a tiny little bit of yellow fondant and i'm going to stick that onto hello kitty's face for the nose i'm using an edible black marker to draw in her eyes now it's important to draw the eyes in while you're looking at the template just to make sure that you've got it in the right proportion and in the right spot also for the whiskers and the nose as well because if it isn't in the right proportion it just doesn't look like hello kitty if you are liking this video don't forget to click the like button below and click add to favorites to save this tutorial for future reference okay next i've rolled out some orange yellow and pink fondant and i'm using a small flower cutter to cut out some little flowers to create the little bouquet that hello kitty is holding and i've used a slightly larger flower plunger cutter to cut out a flower for her head just pulling up a little bit of yellow fondant just to create the flower centers i'm rolling out a little bit of green fondant to create a few of the leaves for the flower bouquet sticking it onto her chest and that's it that's my little hello kitty figurine next you can place it onto your cupcake gluing it with a little bit of water or frosting really cute for your cupcakes and also super cute on top of the cake as well do you love hello kitty let me know in the comments below thanks again for watching guys don't forget to also check out sharon's cake here's the link go check out her channel and click on hello kitty here to see sharon's full hello kitty cake tutorial thanks again for watching guys you guys have a fantastic day
