Please explain how to apply water repellent to masonry

hi today we're gonna talk about the application of a clear water repellent specifically siloxane PD as manufactured by perso Co these are reactive water repellents so they do not form a film on the surface but chemically bond to that within the substrate a lot of people ask why do I want to use a water repellent and it's to protect your investment when you have a building that's brick or block or of a masonry type substrate you can apply a clear penetrating water repellent it allows the product the substrate to breathe but keeping liquid water out you always want to make sure you protect any adjacent substrates that aren't designed to receive the application specifically windows windows are comprised of silica this product is designed to chemically bond with silica within the substrate as you can see here we've protected the plants because we always want to protect any plant life or any adjacent substrates that not intended to be treated so I'm going to start at the bottom work my way up having a four to eight inch run down to allow this product to penetrate in and this product goes on milky-white but yet it'll dry clear applying for SoCo siloxane PD is as easy as that one flood code application now on a porous substrate a second application may be required for optimal performance now after that's done your substrate is protected for years to come
