hey guys welcome to the cooking show with chad and mom we're gonna cook some poppy seed bread no honestly poppy seed bread is one of my most favorite things my mom always cooks it for me whenever i come home or whenever she comes to visit me she'll have some and i put in the freezer and eat it for a long time because it's one of the best things ever everything here on the table is laid out and they're ready to go and i didn't do any of it she did all of it because she makes this all the time and i've never made it before so first thing you gotta do is oh you want me to answer i don't know okay so three cups of flour which is this right here yes that's a flour uh-huh flower two and one fourth cup sugar is this sugar that's sugar it makes your own salt taste it yeah one and one half teaspoon salt which one of those is salt one and one half teaspoon baking soda this three eggs right here yeah and the egg yolks everything get me one and one half cups milk which is this is milk right here i recommend silk no i would recommend skim skim milk 1 1 8 cup oil that's a lot of oil that's a lot of oil i heard it is right there people see it looks like green baby poop one half tablespoon poppy soup make sure you get it all in there one and one half teaspoons of vanilla that you're gonna have to do yourself oh no you do it one and one half teaspoon flavor oh all that stuff yes you get one and one half teaspoon of almond butter and vanilla so yum now mix ingredients together you want to put it together let's see oh dear this is scary you do oh dear how long do we mix it just until it's nice and all mixed together you can tell so eggs will be all you ready hopefully this don't go everywhere oh yeah that's what i'm talking about oh yeah we can turn it up a little bit now because just until it's nice and smooth and all the water yeah boy pour into two large loaf pans or or mini loaf pans yeah and when i do the mini loaf pans it takes five and i've already sprayed them with cooking spray olive oil cooking spray so that the bread doesn't stick that's what happens when you cook you get a little messy i like to get messy i'm sticky this is good like cake batter uh you know you're not supposed to eat raw eggs people yeah i don't ever taste it because of the eggs i hope you don't get sick i got a ladle over there for you you're just gonna leave a little and you can just ladle that into the uh oh boy i can tell this is gonna be a disaster a lot more than that i put it to about it's three-fourths full do you want to just pour it how do you do it do you get it on the sides like that sure i just wipe it off before i put in the oven it looks good it smells what is that right oh just pour it in my lap yeah yeah it's just a little bit more and if you have extra at the end i just kind of divide up amongst all five pans i'm bored with this you do this now i'm here okay he's bored with this i just take a a paper towel and i wipe it off at the end okay he's already eaten two full loaves of this this year already crazy well that's what happens when you cook i just kind everywhere i of it i i didn't say i was a neat cook well i'm not cleaning it up it's hard already stop eating that raw stuff gonna make you ill okay that's about it i'm gonna pop them in the oven at 350 for 45 to minutes to an hour when it says 45 minutes to an hour i always check it at 45 minutes because then it'll burn okay so we're gonna put these in the other now yeah and then we'll come back and do what we're gonna do next and we're back and now we're doing the icing stuff that goes on top of poppy seed bread which is the most yummy part yeah three three four cups of sugar one cup of orange juice one fourth cup of oysters and juice orange juice it's all right one half teaspoon of fish and that looks pure but that's a big one mine always gets smaller well i cook a lot okay mix this together mix yeah there you go that's about it we're good at this now we just gotta wait for our poppy seed bread to finish cooking and then we can pull it out of the oven and we put this on top all right our poppy seed now is out of the oven and this uh little what is this icing i guess it's the sauce sauce icing that we made you just pour it on top that's beautiful yeah just like that yeah so now we're gonna put the icing on all these and we're pretty much done if you guys um are interested making this just look down in my uh description box and i'm gonna have the ingredients and the recipe down there for you guys to make it so you can try it at home well that's all there is to it right that's it all right well thanks for being on my show again mom that was fun well i guess me telling me on your show because you're the one cooking it all right guys well i will see you guys tomorrow thanks for watching i love you guys oh i guess i can do a whole part i love you guys bye
