Please explain how to insulate window pockets

hello if you have an old house like I do and you've had a replacement windows put in there's a good chance the pockets of the windows were not insulated and the weights are probably still inside so an easy way to insulate the pockets is to drill a hole with like a quarter-inch bit into the frame of your window put one in down low and then maybe drill another one maybe a foot from the top a pie and my windows are probably like around five feet tall so what I used was two cans of great stuff the kind of use was the window in door spray foam and make sure you use the window indoor spray foam because the other stuff will jam up your windows and crack the frames and the moldings of your windows so usually you'll see I used to twelve ounce cans and that filled up the the whole window pocket so what will happen is when you spraying in down low like in this hole here the foam will drop to the bottom of the pocket and then it gradually will expand and probably fill up maybe around halfway then after you empty the can in that bottom hole go up to the top hole and put in the other spring in the other can and that will fill it up and you won't have to tear apart you know the moldings around your windows and avoid a great big mess and also if you have any concerns about like disturbing what you think might be lead paint this is an easier way of doing it so when you're done all you have is two little holes to just kind of patch up with maybe a little bit of caulk or you know some spackle whatever and just add a little paint okay hope this helps
