hey everybody welcome back to my channel my name is mylène and today we'll be doing a DIY video on how you can de-stress your t-shirt this works best on colored fabric such as black red yellow green blue when I was waving at me through the window haha hi dad today I'll be working with a black Thrasher shirt it's just black and plain I got this at Zumiez for about twenty-two dollars and it's really cute but I feel like it would be more cute and cool if I were to distress it make some bleach holes and just cut it up a little bit so grab your t-shirt and let's just get started okay so here are the materials that you'll need you'll need a t-shirt a spray bottle if you don't have a spray bottle you can use water bottles just poke some holes into the cap you'll need a pair of scissors it's a household bleach won't be needing the entire bottle just a little bit will do okay the first step is to distress your t-shirt you want to take a pair of scissors that are very sharp you can use for our craft scissors crosses would be the best option because they're sharp and they'll make the cuts on your t-shirt very clean so you want to place cuts around the collar the sleeves and just around the t-shirt to make it look more aged after you make some cuts you want to stretch it up and just continue making cuts all over you can even take your scissors and run it along the edges of the fabric just roughing it up and make it look more fuzzy and worn in a good tip is to open your scissors all the way up be very careful whole dish will be blade is on the opposite side of your hand and run it along the t-shirt while applying pressure this way it will kind of cut into the t-shirt and create cuts but they're not very clean cuts so this way it's very it's a good technique to make it look like naturally worn or naturally distressed if that makes any sense okay so I'm done with the first part of distressing my t-shirt mine looks like this I made a lot of cuts on the top and I also made these um slits over here I think it looks really cool if you don't like it it's your opinion you don't have to do it I'm just showing you some techniques that I did to distress my t-shirt if you want to share some more techniques just comment them down below so everyone can enjoy sharing is caring I also made slits on the bottom and holes on the bottom as well so now the second part of distressing your t-shirt is to bleach it so we'll be adding bleach stains and bleaching our t-shirts okay so for the bleaching part you will want to bring this out sighs the fumes from the bleach are really bad for you so you want to be in a well-ventilated place I have my t-shirt hung up on my vest and as you can tell um bleaching bleaches your friends as well don't want this to happen to your friends I would suggest you put something beneath beneath your t-shirt or hang it up somewhere else alright so how I'm going to bleach my t-shirt is I'm still taking the bottle of bleach and just like you know like just fling it around everywhere like randomly and just get it on a t-shirt you'll see the color start to fade immediately and um here's a good tip a little bit of bleach goes a long way you don't want to cover your like your entire t-shirt with bleach because if you saturate the entire t-shirt it will just comply go to fade it out t-shirt and won't look very cool oh and if you don't have a place to hang your t-shirt you can always do this on the floor just make sure you don't have it near any like like I'll be doing this with multiple bottles to create different sizes of chocolates even I wonder what I'm standing on my riches I'll be on my grind shot al dump it you can be as creative as you like with this just let your art side slow take a hell of a to be like oh girl don't you do love don't go inside our world I'm gonna show the baby around with show world so don't give bad Emmy just I love this this is all creative down accounted what it looks like I finished well technically he's not finished yet because the bleaching process will still continue until you wash it let's quickly put this in the washer all right so it's the next day now am i sure isn't washing and drying and I think it turned out really really cute what do you think comment down below I love how it's like a new t-shirt now it's not like a plain black trouser sure and now it's unique it's me it's just different you know I love it so if you guys recreate one of these t-shirts be sure to tag me on instagram my instagram is at topic May and I'll see you guys next time bye
