I hi I'm Steve Bourne and in today's video we're going to be demonstrating our cable prep tool and our connector ization for our low loss high flexible cable tools required for installation are a drill automated cable prep tool 19 millimeter and 21 millimeter open-ended wrenches cable clamping device which is optional snips and a flaring tool the safety equipment our gloves and eye protection clean cut end of cable with approved cable cutting device with cable straightly aligned insert cable into prep tool start drill and apply steady pressure until cut material is discharged you will hear and feel a change in drill speed remove cable prep tool by tool is still in motion thoroughly clean any excess material and debris install a ring onto cable at third corrugation from Jacket apply provided grease onto o-ring and spread evenly push connect your base onto cable until connector base locks over first corrugation flare cable with flaring tool and clean any leftover debris this is an example of a flared cable end hand-tighten connector top onto base with a 21 millimeter open end wrench hole connector top in place with a 19 millimeter open in torque wrench set to 15 foot-pounds tighten connector base until fully tightened if there is a plastic cap on the connector end leave in place to prevent dust until connector is ready for use now your installation is complete
