as always this is a 100% cotton shirt
that's been soaked in soda ash for at least 20 minutes and then spun to a damp
State the X here and here are where I'm going to start to spirals so I'm going to pinch
in and spiral this in and then come here and spiral this I'm going to take a little bit
of time just to touch up these spirals little going to take this section here and this one off to this side a little and just bunch
that up and the same thing over here and try to keep this all
straight when I'm tying it down to be able to keep track of the placement
I'm going to go ahead and mark these out the front side will be dyed to match this pattern
basically and there might be a few changes them as I'm going along the back side will be dyed based
on what bleeds through so if it bleeds through a little odd then the back side will be dyed a
little odd and then there'll be some black placed on the back as well so let's go ahead and go to
the dyeing stage I've mixed up the liquid dye I have Chinese red turquoise lemon yellow and better
black the turquoise is mixed at about 50% higher than the recommended concentration in order to
get a bolder blue so let's go ahead and do the dye and now I'm going to let this sit for a few
minutes and then come back and add something else alright it's been sitting a few minutes
and now I'm going to add a thickened black I know it looks like a complete mess and
a total failure right now but you'll just have to wait and see so I'm going to
let this sit for how 12 to 24 hours and then go ahead and do the washout
all right it's time for the washout all right let's take a look at it off to wash it out
