there are two things that can really help you if you don't have a jewelry bent to set up or you travel a lot and you need to take your work with you or you want to work on the road there are two great things that I use when I need to be mobile with my jewelry bench I take baskets lots and lots of baskets different sizes full of different jars that I'm working with so my metalwork my soldering I put everything I need for soldering in one basket and this is when I take my little torch my little kitchen torch with me I use this little basket and another great thing that I use and is really helpful it's an old cookie sheet and old rusted-out marked up a metal or you can use like a stone pampered chef cookie sheet that works really well to get you a nice solid table that won't be moved or easily tipped over get that put on your cookie sheet and then get out your wire mesh or your ceramic block that you use to solder on and then go ahead and set up get ready to go get your tongs out and your torch out and then you can start get working with your silver and you can be totally mobile that's what I do when I go on vacation or like this summer going up to my mother's my mother-in-law's for the week so they can see the kids can see grandma so I go ahead and I take everything with me and I'm totally mobile and I can do pretty much everything that I do at home in my jewelry studio I can do it on the road so that's the great part about this even if you don't have any orders coming in you can still work on new projects and new ideas as they come to you and you don't have to worry about running home to work on you've got it right there with you so that's a fantastic part about being mobile now it doesn't work with every piece of jewelry that you make but if you're at the point when you're just beginning and you don't maybe have a jewelry bench yet this is a awesome way to start at home when your mobile when you don't really have a place that's yours yet or you don't have a room designated to be your studio yet it's okay you can put everything out on the kitchen table and pack it up when you're done and this is a great way to leave me a comment below let me know what you think let me know what ideas that you use to be mobile or if you're just setting up and you have a few awesome ideas you'd like to share about your portable studio that you've just set up I hope you're having a great day and I'll catch you in the comments
