what's up guys George here imagine you're at your local flower shop buying some flowers for someone maybe your girlfriend or your mum now imagine that that person has two favorite colors red and blue and you can't decide which color to get them you can get them flowers of both colors but that would be boring you're a scientist and you want something cool how about making flowers that are red and blue at the same time not not purple not mixed together purple but half red half blue here's how to do it all you need is a white flower it doesn't matter what kind but i'm using a rose two colors of food coloring red and blue for me two cups some water and a sharp knife cut the stem of the flower and half down the middle so that it splits into two part way down like this then fill each glass with water and put a substantial amount of one food coloring into each glass so that one is blue and what is red then put half of the stem you just cut into one glass and the other half into the other now all that's left to do is leave it for a few days to allow the flower to absorb the colored water the food coloring and the water dies the petals so the flower becomes colored
