hey everyone I'm Judith Jones food and travel editor of the gourmet travel Easter and today I'm going to be showing you how to marinate a steak so what we have here are two new york strip steaks now we're using new york strip steaks but you can use any kind of steak you like we have two tablespoons of olive oil 1 tablespoon of soy sauce 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and salt and pepper to taste now this is a really great marinade simple fresh and tastes great so what we're going to do is mix in our olive oil we've got two pots olive oil to 1 part soy and to one part Worcestershire now a little chefs hidden secret this is called sow soy sauce olive oil Worcestershire sauce there you go now let's put in our garlic get all of that in there give it a nice little kick and our salt and pepper to taste of course be nice and generous with those we'll give that a little whisk and that's going to be a beautiful marinade for our steaks so I have a large plastic freezer bag here and we're going to do a little bit of shaking so in goes our marinade and then we're going to just place our steaks inside this is the fun part really nice juicy steaks bone-in we have here get that locked up we can do it with your sticky hands there you go we'll shake all that up get all that nice marinade all over those steaks that's going to be beautiful open it up let's get all the air out of our plastic ziplock and we'll close it again and now we're going to refrigerate this for at least two hours overnight if possible and you can get them out whenever you're ready to grill them and that's it that's how you marinate a steak thanks for watching today everyone and make sure to subscribe to our website to watch plenty of other fantastic videos and if you have an email request you can email requests at Mahalo calm and we'll be sure to answer any questions and queries you might have you
