hi I'm Gwen I'll be teaching you and make a lady with your English hat out of lampshade here's the thing you need a lampshade obviously a pair of scissors acrylic paint and some paintbrushes glue a compass and some cardboard take the compass and draw a circle as wide as you want the frame of your hat to be then take your lampshade place the wide end on the cardboard and trace around it then place the small end of the lampshade in the middle of the first circle you drew that's the brim and trace around it then get your scissors and start cutting if like me you're not convinced that your circle is entirely smooth just get out a piece of sandpaper and sand the edges a bit now call it the largest circle that's the one that's going to be the brim of your head cut out the circle in the middle you want to leave a little extra room though don't cut it out on the line you'll see why later so now you have two circles the one without the hole goes on top of your hat and the top of your head is the bottom of your lampshade but now the bottom of your lampshade has become the top of your hat am I still making sense now I'll just watch the video time to start painting of course you don't have to paint the Hat one car like I did feel free to pay night whatever you want complete stars on it you can make stripes on it you can paint polka dots on it you can paint faces on it even pink freakin howler monkeys on it just go crazy now for the fun part decorating with this hat I'm going to use this very cheerful little bird that I found at a gardening center lots of cool decorating stuff to be used on hats wear otherwise can be found at gardening centers especially around the holidays like Easter and Christmas or better yet visit them just after the holidays when all those goodies are on sale my eyes are always good you so now your hat is done hey put it on wear it with pride and I'll be seeing you at the next fantasy here
