i've always loved the idea of retail this retail shop magnolia was one of our first ventures together when we first got married this was the first building that we bought together and i had had my retail location in this space and then two kids later i decided i want to stay home more so i ended up shutting the retail side down but i always had that dream to reopen my shop again one day so recently we've opened the shop and i want it to be a place where people come and think hey i like what she does i like her look and now i can incorporate that in my own home for me to be able to share what i love doing and empower and inspire others is is really a big deal for me i was really strategic about how i set my shop up i wanted it to feel pretty and look pretty so not only is it a lot of displays but it's also under each display as a way to just show clients this is how you construct this look in your house i just never want people to feel defeated when they come in i want them to feel inspired and there's something about walking around a space with a lot of pretty things that just really make people happy it's just fun to play around with stuff and and the biggest thing i like to tell people is hey you play around with it sometimes you fail try again and sometimes it's something that ends up sticking and good for you but you've got to take that risk it's really important just to our overall mission to be able to provide a service that goes beyond waco texas and so it's really exciting now to not only have my retail store here locally but now it's branching out as far as the online shop goes all over the country i really think the reason why i'm really passionate about the home because i feel like that's where everything starts that's that's home base right there so if you've got your stuff together there you can leave from that place and really conquer the world
