placing spark plugs on a 2000 Mary Cougar do this at your own risk always remember to discount the battery before working on your car okay so at this point you can see it's loose so what we want to do now is there are two bolt coming into this and never are really really holding it right now um probably one of the only things piece right there disconnect the throttle position sensor electrical line come on take off a air filter boss all the vacuum lines is connected back here make sure that you remember where they go you can up Markum disconnect the lines for the cruise control and a throttle big old puzzle okay huh try and set this out of the way you you don't want to you don't want to disconnect these we can help it cuz as you see they're quite the uh quite the project to get back in there and they break all the time you can get to all the spark plugs from here at this point now we're just gonna pull things all out and I would take a peek down there you want to make sure that there's no oil down there because what can happen is the valve cover gaskets they can start leaking and they can leak right around the inside of the spark and this whole chamber will fill up with oil and you do not want that pretty much just look at the end of this and see it's got any oil on the good nothing you want to remember is order they're all they're all numbers lvf well online all the spark plug wires are number one two three four five six and if you're ever curious which one is first cylinder on a v6 engine you can look the front of the engine that's the the part where the de transaxle if not attached to so that would be where all your pulleys are your serpentine belt is you're going to take and you're going to look at it and then you're going to see your spark plug holes which every one is closest to the front of the engine so you can see they're staggered like this that's number one cylinder so close one it actually goes one two three four five six come on the mover just a 5/16 socket I still sing loose then the tight alright going out very much good anymore break down loose so you just repeat the process do spark plugs they should all come gap put my uncle I was said to do was just to take all the spark plugs line them up you can get a gauge out here you can test them all and get them perfectly gapped but you just take them line them up and they all have the same gap by the looks of it we're going to call them all good and you went back in I'm just going to Han through them at first to put these things in I have another spark spark plug remover that does not have the rubber grommet in there I find it's nice because you don't end up losing the the socket in there having to fiddle it out so I just take it one without it let's drop in and then just thread it anti-seize put a little bit around make your life easier next time hey I need to have is a knuckle especially for the back ones definitely make sure you do not cross readies that's free tapping at least if you do end across 30 on it now the whole thing goes together to the exact reverse how you took it apart can be a little bit of a trick it's got to keep fiddling with it working with it now you get it make sure you don't knock your gaskets off down there I'd suggest before tightening these down that you put back on this
