okay everyone um well I have been getting lots of requests on how to draw a wolf you know I already made one but that one's old I'm going to make a new one and also how to draw wings and I'm going to show you how to draw wings I think this one's going to be about the wings and the next one will be about the wolf I don't know if let's see um I'll be teaching you how to draw angel wings devil wings and oh yeah angel and devil wings so let's start with just a random character hold on I use about a size five and um Photoshop is just what I'm using is Photoshop cs4 and I'm just going to draw a random character right here it's gonna look like crap probably but so yeah excuse that okay enough for wings you can start out with a basic how you want your wings to be most time I have I draw wings like open very wide open and whenever you're drawing wings you keep in mind in a way it's kinda like an arm you know how your arm has a shoulder and elbow and your wrist so that's how wings are you have like a shoulder elbow and wrist and that's how you start see now depending on how big you want your wings it doesn't have to be the spaced out and I'm going to want my wing the feathers to be very big okay and usually depending on what you want you can have different layers of feathers like how many feathers I usually have about three and the very first layer is going to be going along the edge right here see up here and the very first layer they are small feathers very they're small short feathers as you go up to the top here they will get larger just a tad bit larger see small here and as you go up they get larger okay that's a first layer then the second layer they won't be as short like these are short and stocky these won't the next layer will not be as short these will be bit longer and you can add random smaller feathers which give it more detail sometimes longer feathers here and the second layer not all your feathers have to be the same length it is good to make some shorter than others as this one is shorter and this one and this one shorter and these two you know because it gives it a more detailed I guess you could say realistic looks and then a third layer of feathers now these will be the longest and if you want four layers or however many layers you always start with the smallest and then you get your feathers get larger and larger with each layer and I always go for three layers because I just like the way they look so your last layer you'll have the largest and longest of wings you see how they're sort of shorter the next one goes back to being long again and as they go down back to the body stop making them little smaller again like that anything hmm great food Emily and it's good to put each layer of feathers on different layers and your Photoshop over here because this case you messed up somewhere and see here's your weeding and you can go back and add small wings every inside the wing just every now and then see and then you can go back over it and ink it and I will do that and I'll speed that up okay well I just outlined it as you obviously to tell um now you can I I did the outline over over there original picture in the sketch another layer I'm gonna go ahead and erase my sketch okay and there see measure angle one these say layers just like usual or originally now something I like to do that give feathers and what feathered wings a nice look is a line in the middle of them and I'll show you what I'm meaning it gives it a better more detailed look this strike a line for each feather it doesn't have to be perfect just slightly curved through each feather doesn't have to go all the way to the end of the feather protect this type of it and you do this with every feather except for the very first layer you don't have to do that to the first layer I'm just doing this real quick so I can show you what I mean see and they just just with line through each of each feather it gives them more detail work and more realistic I guess you'd say because it better look that much and that's what I always do with my feathers and then you can start coloring it
