Please explain how to make a home-made barometer

hi today I'm going to show you how to make a barometer a homemade barometer so that you can check the air temperature and pressure that is outside things that we need will be below some scotch tape some colored pencils or you could use markers if you buy a sharpie we're going to mark our scale at the very center a straw some scissors these although very small and very light our rubber bands the container and a piece of paper that as folded into a triangular shape the first thing we're going to do is we are going to take a balloon we're going to cut it right above the neck of the balloon and we need to stretch this around the top of the container kind of tricky sometimes because it wants to snap off and then secure that once you have it on it see told you it was hard let's try that again I don't know now I have to try and hang on to it all I put the rubber bands on I'm going to put a few rubber bands in case one breaks to make sure that it's holding it right where I need it these two and try and put these two on together at the same time okay so I got that on there the next thing you're going to do is going to take your straw you're going to cut this one bends so I'm going to cut that off I don't want it to bend ok so I had a positive for a second because somebody came in the house but I had that uncut off so now on the other end you're going to cut it so that it creates a pointer like that now you're going to take this you're going to take a piece of tape and you're going to tape this so that that pointer just like that and you're going to tape this to the top of your home a parameter hole and that will hold it in place I couldn't make the scale because I didn't know where this was going to land on the scale so now I'm going to pause the movie after I marked the very center here is the very center of my scale I'm gonna come on this side of it right there okay so I'm going to pause the movie while I make the scale because it would take up too much time I'll be back in about a minute or so hack now I made the scale showing the high and the low so that the very center of the point that I had marked on the scale was where this point was on the burner so what I'm going to do is I'm going to take this I'm going to tape it so that it stands all by itself so i don't have to hold it okay now if you look at this the light is kind of helping me because it's actually showing where it's going to fall so from where i marked it it looks like it's just a little bit lower than it initially was just a hair low it's very close to the level mark there we go actually it's almost dead spot on so let's go outside now let's see what the temperatures outside and see if we have normal temperature rainy temperature you know sony temperature cloudy temperature let's go see what it is outside okay as you can see we're outside it's an overcast day not sunny it's not raining it was raining this morning but it's not raining now it's kind of cool maybe high 50s close to 60 let's see if this changes at all that's here it's going to go away if you let it go I know that will be bugs that would be my son Ryan was helping me with the experiments I'm trying up and moved up one line you see that can you consume in on that it actually moved up over the middle point since we came outside so that means it's a high so that is how to make a barometer I'm going to hang on to this because I think it's kind of cool and I want to check through one weather changes and see what's happening with it so thanks for watching
