hey everyone it's Dasia from crochet ever after' calm today we're gonna change color when we're working in treble crochet so I have lots of color changing in a lot of my other tutorials but nothing that's specific to each stitch so that's why I'm adding these in so this one's gonna be trouble they're all basically the same you're gonna work to the last step of your stitch and then you're gonna change your color so for this example we have one two three four five stitches so we're pretending that we're working six stitches in our blue color and then we want to switch to our new color for the seventh stitch so I say six because we're gonna work our final stitch up to the last step so I yawn over twice then I insert my hook into the next stitch pull up a loop work off one set of two work off to set of two and then I have one more two loops left on my hook that's the very last step of my trouble if it was a normal just regular trouble I would just yarn over and pull through the last two to finish the stitch but now we're gonna change color so what we'll do is we'll grab our new color we have our short tail long enough to weave in but not super long we're gonna lay it over our hook and I kind of just grab onto it with my fingers and then pull it through those last two loops on your hook and you'll see those last two loops become part of the trouble we have this loop which we come to the top of the stitch and this loop that becomes this very last crossover stitch of our trouble then we can just drop the tail of the purple and start making our next stitch in the next stitch so again we're gonna do a treble and you'll see we just pull you'll see they're kind of a little bit out of whack here we just need to pull on our tails once we leave those in they'll be all in line with the rest of our stitches but you can see that our color change is very nice and clean so we have one blue stitch up top and one Purple's to top up top so it's very simple for these colors let me show you it one more time so we work up to our last two loops on our hook that's kind of how it goes for every single stitch except for half double because the last step of a half double there's three loops on your hook but every other stitch work out till you have two loops on your stitch bring your new yarn in pull it through and then you can go ahead and start your next stitch so this can be used whether it's rows or rounds does not matter and that's how you do your color change see if you have any questions leave them below and thank you for watching you
