hey guys I'm probably a little late on this trend of tassels but I found some tassel beads at the store and I bought them and I wanted to make some earrings out of them so that's what I'm going to show you guys how to make today I'm also going to show you how to make your own tassel beads so that if you can't find tassel beads then you can still do this project or you can make tassel beads for whatever you want anyway let's get started you'll need earring findings the ones that I'm using are called leverbacks tassel beads and matching jump rings or chain a bead end cap and wire the easy version is obviously if you can find tassel beads if you can find them they'll probably already be on a chain like these ones so you would just have to remove them from the chain and then use a jump ring to connect them to the earring findings and that's it but if you can't find tassel beads or you just want to be able to make them exactly how you want then you can make them from scratch I decided to make these ones a little bit longer than the pre-made beads cut 12 2 inch pieces of chain bend some wire into a long u-shape and start threading the end of the chain pieces on to the wire push the ends of the wire together and thread it through the bead end cap twist one end around right at the base of the end cap and cut off any excess wire if needed my wire was pretty short so I didn't have to loop the other end of the wire threading it through the earring finding as you loop it alternatively you could just loop the wire and attach it to the earring finding with a jump ring repeat this to make the other tassel and you're done you don't even need to limit yourself to just earrings you can make these tassels for anything really I'm thinking about making another one and making it into a pendant necklace I hope you guys enjoyed this week's video if you did please leave a like if you want to see more than feel free to subscribe I post art videos every Tuesday and DIY videos every Thursday you can follow me on Twitter Tumblr Instagram Pinterest snapchat and twitch I don't leave the information to all of those down below thank you to my patrons probably produce this video if you are interested in becoming a patron I'll leave a link to mine right up here and you can go check it out if you have any questions or suggestions for future videos please leave a comment down below and I'll see you next week
